Naw haha literally all of my characters are abominations.....this is the first time I've ever tried to take a serious crack at it :rofl

The depth of customization in the DD2 creator is almost overwhelming; best one I've ever seen personally. The one negative is most of the male long hairstyles are kinda bad
Every time I’m presented with a character creator:

1. Switch to the female template.
2. Remember my wife is going to be watching me play this game and wondering why I’ve spent 10 minutes picking a specific eye shadow.
3. “Nah.” Switch back to the male template. :D

Mostly just counting the days 'til the Elden Ring DLC. \[T]/
Same. But I also have an eye on Rise of the Ronin. Hoping it will be more Nioh and less Wo Long (which I hate possibly even more than Sekiro.)

Been watching LobosJr play the "demo" of the Dark Souls 3 Archthrones mod. For a demo, it's got a ton of content.

It looks great, a really clever way to combine stuff from all From Software games into something new. It adds new things to existing levels or shuffles them around with new enemies, new starting point etc. There's also completely new levels. It has a lot of new bosses and enemies that seem to be made by mixing assets into visually unique enemies, and use movesets from e.g Elden Ring or Sekiro bosses. There's even new voice acting that is not terrible.

Looking forward to giving it a try whenever it fully releases.

Presumably PC only? Alas, I haven’t owned a decent gaming PC in years.

Yup, like most mods.

Here's LobosJr's livestream of it if you want to check it out:

I just watched a random segment showing Cathedral of the Deep and ending with the Adrich, Saint of the Deep boss. It looks insane.

Gonna nab DS3 next time it's on sale on Steam.

Looks great! And I’m reminded that Dark Souls 3 was great in its own right.
Absolutely. I've got 432.8 hours in it according to Steam. I've played it through so many times, and played the Cinders mod for it as well which added a ton of stuff to the base game.

While it deserves criticism for its linearity, at the same time it's a game that isn't too long so it's not too bad to play it through once you know where to get what, how to fight each enemy and so on.

Bought Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth on the Steam spring sale!

I decided to leave Like A Dragon: Gaiden for later as it's just a shorter spinoff. Infinite Wealth is supposed to be a pretty huge game so I'd rather focus on it.

The problem with Yakuza/Like A Dragon games is that they are very iterative, so there's a lot of the same locations, minigames and whatnot so playing them back to back is not a good idea. It's been long enough since I played Lost Judgment, Ishin! and Like A Dragon 7 so I'm now ready for more.

For all weird things in Japan, SEGA had an event before Infinite Wealth launch in Tokyo, where you could go pay respects to your favorite characters who have died in the Yakuza games. There was some merch available too. Since my gf's university was fairly close, she went there and got me some goodies, and put a rose on my bro Rikiya's "memorial". :ROFLMAO:

I liked dark souls 1&2 alot. I haven't played 3 but my nephew was showing some cool stuff like the gun parry and other things, I'd like to play through it myself.

I only have the switch hooked up right now so I'm still doing crazy builds on TOTK.

I recall the gun parry in Bloodborne messing up my parry-timing in DS2 and 3 - although I didn't play 3 all the way through. I thought it was basically cut-and-paste/money grab with Invasions everywhere (especially since some regions had the game 2 weeks ahead of me, and Invaders smashed Noobs with glee on "Release Day"). Since the money went to developing Elden Ring I like it more now - and maybe the Invaders have moved on.

I'll be in Dragon's Dogma 2 soon, and trying to kill Mohg a few more times in anticipation of the Elden Ring DLC.

Few hours into Infinite Wealth and so far:
  • Serious plotline around ex-yakuza reintegrating to regular society, their difficulties finding work etc.
  • Getting bad dating advice from your buddies.
  • Attacked by a flasher in a trenchcoat. Then beating him with a sausage, broom and very large vibrator. Why yes, the sex shop around the corner sells weapons!
  • Getting a perfect score in karaoke! Might be first for me in this series.
  • Betrayal!
  • Taking your pet crawfish with you in a backpack. I hope the little fella is ok!
  • Finding 500 yen under a vending machine. Score!
  • Unlocking special attacks such as: Pigeon swarm, 80% proof alcohol fire breath, begging enemies for items, shouting obsceneties with a megaphone to enrage enemies...
  • More betrayal!
  • Starting a Pokemon Pokedex style thing. Except it categorizes all the creeps you fight throughout the game.
  • Fighting two guys who are inside sleeping bags so they look like worms or slugs jumping around.
I just love how this whole series manages to have plotlines with serious real world issues, and handles them with respect. Then it flips the script completely to something absolutely ridiculous. Even the enemies are explained as the main character just having a wild imagination during fights.

I've been watching streams of the Archthrones demo as well and it looks so good

In fact yesterday I went to Steam to re-purchase DS3 for PC just to try the mod but fucking DS3 is still $60 on Steam :wat

Fuck allat

Weird that it's not on the spring sale. But probably by summer will be, though then the Elden Ring DLC comes out...

https://isthereanydeal.com is a great site to try to find any PC game sales or check how cheap a game has been historically. I've bought plenty of stuff from 3rd party sites like Greenmangaming and the Steam keys you get have worked fine every time.

I started talking up Lies of P with a friend of mine the other day, and just for the heck of it, started a new game. (Motivity build instead of Technique build). I got so hooked I finished about half the game in one day. It goes a lot faster the second time!

I did full Motivity build on my first playthrough; basically as soon as I got the Police Baton I never used anything else lol

Might have to try running it again some day....I'll probably wait until the DLC drops tho
