Tonex Pedal....It's REAL

And according to Jason Sadites, the delay and modulation are definitely coming to the hardware - at least for the full-sized ToneX pedal.

Damn, this makes the already great tonex best “bang for buck” thing out there. Makes the job of converting my singer from average vox amp + gt8 rig easier 😁 Already bought the highly regarded yet shitty sounding Phenyx ptm-10 iem system for him to use.

Why does he not just use both hands 🙌
Instead of moving all the time to save just leave the other hand there

Because he might be muting his guitar or even holding a note/chord. Business as usual. Any tweaking should be doable as quick as possible with one hand for that single reason.

Use the app , would probably be easier

Which only exists for macOS, Windows and iOS. Apparently still no Android version. Epic fail.

Seriously, the fact that 5 (or even 6) knobs are completely wasted when editing a delay is driving me completely bonkers by just watching that bullshit. I've been watching that section of the video twice - simply because I was in absolute disbelief someone would come up with an utterly stupid "solution" like that. But hey, it's IK - bringing you the worst in UX since 2+ decades already!

90 % of people will use and app , I am sorry you bought and Android that's unfortunate .

And if your muting the string and tweaking a pedal , turn down the volume knob on there guitar , honestly , sometimes its just common sense

At any rate yes its not the most elegant , but its also far from the most mentally taxing

Somehow they’ve made it worse to edit than the Amplifire.
Hopefully the coming Live Editor will be more usable?

"Expanded TONEX Live Editor
The next scheduled update for TONEX is a real-time editor for quickly creating custom tones and saving them to TONEX Pedal and TONEX ONE. This update features seamless editing with an intuitive desktop editor built into TONEX software, making building stage-ready tones easier and faster than ever.

You are completely missing out on live players. Guess it's not what you do...

Amen. The Nano Cortex is equally stupid. It took me like 15 minutes from seeing it to come up with a control pattern that would allow editing the amount on all its fx categories at once. But no, enjoy cycling each fx type one by one and turning that same knob back and forth.

For the Tonex pedal, it would be so obvious that the knobs adjust various settings of the currently selected effect. Even though you don't have the labels, you can just learn that for delay knob 1 = time, knob 2 = feedback etc. as you turn them and the screen shows what's happening.

This is not a difficult feature to implement. IK is already able to do two layers of controls, as printed on the front panel of the Tonex pedal. Why not just expand that to the new effects as further layers?

Will it be available for mobile devices, too?

Anyhow, no matter what it will be like, they completely messed up on-unit-editing. As if they were having a contest to come up with the worst UX.

This!

And it'd even be possible to implement a "soft takeover" of the pots, so once you move them an LED starts blinking until you're at the position of the saved parameter. At that moment, the knob position would become active.

They found some 1980s "How to design a full UI around one encoder" O'Reilly book propping up the table leg in the break room.

There's always that one encoder modeler as a role model (name escapes me but it was mentioned at TOP and here sometimes, an english one man show, AFAIR)
