The bags of candy use to have a lot more in them. They have definitely cut back on the amount they give you. I had a rep that would never cut me any real deals. I got to the point where I stopped asking them and was getting my deals on Reverb from other shops. I would have offers on Reverb and Sweetwater couldn't even get close to those so they lost the sales. I told them that on a couple of surveys they sent me.

On the last survey they sent me I tore them up pretty good on that subject and told them they are missing pretty much every sale with me because I am getting better deals on Reverb and that my rep never cuts me a deal. I ended up getting an email from my rep letting me know that I can reach out to him anytime through email to find out if I can get a better price. He evidently doesn't remember my emails through the years that were responded to with a very small discount or none at all.

After that last survey my rep supposedly got promoted. He had been my rep for well over 10 or 12 years. I had asked for a new rep and they left me with this guy. I got a new girl as my rep. I had something that I was looking to buy so I sent her an email asking for a better price. She never even responded to me. At least the other dude would respond. They missed that sale too. When they first moved me over to the new rep she was all excited and sent me communications introducing herself. It was kind of strange because I hadn't been told I was getting a new rep and had to ask her more than once if her communications meant that she was now my rep. I had a bad gut feeling at that point and it has panned out to be the case.

Given what’s been going on with the cost of insulin for the last couple years they are probably just trying to do Americans a solid.

Looking around - we clearly already got into the candy dish. :rofl

Also - I have a shipment on the way. Laffy Taffy or I’m burning the place down.

Honestly, I haven't eaten the candy they send me in many years. I usually give it away. My wife took about a dozen bags of it to work for the people she works for for Halloween last year.

Same story. When I am interested in something and maybe looking for a deal, no response. When I don’t visit the site in a while, I get a “hey, just checking in” email from the rep.

They don't really budge at all on pricing anymore. $50 on a $700+ order is deemed a "good" deal. My old rep, whom I rarely purchased from (I didn't have much money) was a lot better in terms of deals. I just think they aren't allowed to give deals on shit anymore like they used to. I like talking to him about non purchase related stuff, but if I am looking for deals, you are not going to get it.

That has been my experience too. What they don't seem to understand is that when I am looking for something the lowest price wins. It is the same freaking item being sent out by the same manufacturer no matter who I buy it through. I tend to stick with real shops through Reverb when I buy so I am still buying from an authorized dealer. There are a handful of dealers that I seem to get my deals through when looking, depending on the item.

Yeah, I don't blame you. That said, people on Reverb sending piddly 5% discounts get immediately rejected. That doesn't even cover taxes and half the time they want shipping.

I only accept offers with free shipping. One thing I have learned the hard way is to wait a while before accepting any of the offers. There was something I was looking for in December. I put a few in my watch list to keep track of them while I was still looking. I started receiving offers for them new. I was looking at used versions. Right after I decided which one to buy and pulled the trigger I received an offer for a new one that was a huge discount, especially compared to the other offers I was getting. I will now set on the offers until they are almost ready to end before buying new going forward. Thankfully I got a killer deal on the used version I bought but if I had been looking for a new one, I would definitely have bought that one with the great offer.

Haven't bought anything major from them for a long time. I think I bought a pack of strings from them during some special deal a while ago. Honestly, even Amazon has better prices than them for a lot of stuff.

Anymore I usually buy from Zzounds, who will give a deal if you call and ask, or else from a ex-bandmate and good friend of mine who works at a local music shop and will get me employee pricing (he is also the manager of one of my bands).

And I don't get any candy, which is fine by me, gotta keep the A1C down...

I had a problem with my A1C going too high. I was able to lose weight and change my eating and brought it down. Well, I gained a bit of weight last year, especially the second half. I got the results back from my blood tests late last month and my issue is back. I have been given 6 months to fix it or they are going to adjust my meds and possibly give me more. I had another thing a bit out of normal as well so I will be on the weight loss train for a while and will not be eating anything with sugar in it for a while.
