Don't crucify me, but does anyone know of a good fuzz that compliments the character of either of the distortion channels on a Dual Rec? I have a multi-watt and love it. I also love Rabea's recent fuzz video where he blends a fuzz with his gain channel on the Kraken. I know it's a different type of gain as he's using the Marshall side of his amp, and maybe that lends itself better to a fuzz, I don't know, but I'd love to velcro the Rectifier up a little, that'd be cool, I think.

I also just bought a Mesa Midi Matrix for mine. Expensive, but I fancied it.

My one thought here is that you almost certainly want a fuzz with a blend control - something that lets some of the dry guitar signal hit the amp. Otherwise there’s going to be no definition. The deluxe big muffs have a blend knob but I’m not sure if the muff would overwhelm that amp.

Thank you @kyle-vick , I've tried both of the muff variants I have (think the SP is based on a muff) and though the Russian muff sounds great (Ram's Head not so much), it's not as fuzz/velcro sounding as I'd like. Will keep looking.

If you’re looking for Velcro I’d head straight for the DOD Carcosa.

Been flip flopping on a DRect Synergy rig because I am dumb and don't want some 25 watt Rectifier mini turd. Probably won't pull the trigger; but if nothing else it's something to keep me feeling slightly GAS-y. Multiwatt is still killing as expected

big box fulltone '69 Ge fuzz - back off the fuzz knob to ≈ 1:00 + typical roll/ride guitar vol knob back, works on my rev f. - have to back Gain down.
in classic 60s circuit at same settings, it really has that organic bark ala faces, pie, et.al but i digress =\

depending where you are I bet you could get one for $1K, $1200 tops. which is fucked up but it's where we are. the tube amp market's a straight up slaughterhouse for sellers right now.

End are so fucking good. they have a rig rundown out there if anyone is curious about this. they show his swollen pickle settings and talk about how the noise gate settings are crucial bc yea thats a lotta gain and noise. i think they were using 5150s, but it probably sounds good w rectos too

This one I'm looking locally is the "blackout" edition - I could probably haggle to around $1650, but nowhere near $1K

I got mine on FacePlant marketplace. It's a bit older, Tripple Rec multi watt for $1100 in Colorado. there is a single rec in the Denver area that has been up for months for $1100 so could maybe get it for less. If in the lower 48 and close to me I could help you get it shipped.

Reverb is people who don't actually need to sell tho, it exists to fleece impulse buyers. You don't want to deal with other gear flippers. You want to wait for local stuff (fbook mkt, etc) for buyers who need the money (sorry, I'm that guy lol). MW dual was up for over month here for CA$1500 = USD$1100.

US$1100 for a single is way too high, that's why it's been up for months. last two singles I sold were CA$900 local and US$800 on reverb.

You've just gotta be patient. Don't go cruising for amps at midnight lol
