dear friends, surely if you read this note it is because it came out 3.8, but I'm already dead... so you probably want to talk about 3.8.5...3.9... or even 4.0... whatever... this is my legacy so that they can continue the talk after my death (due to natural causes)

thing is, these always “jokingly” pop up as soon as an update is released but there’s definitely a strong element of people just looking for whatever is next. It’s not so much 3.8 that’s exciting rather than “ooh something new to distract me”.

same thing as buying plugins endlessly, it’s an insatiable itch.

To be honest, I don't know what to expect from now. I mean, I don't know if 3.8 will be the new thing to expect from updates (small update once a year).

I still long for a polyphonic tuner, polyphonic synths, and being able to enable the tuner on footswitch press (not hold).

Other than that, I'd like some effects like Boss BF3 or Shin ei companion fuzz.

Not exactly what's in there, but we know it's a small update, with a few amps and fewer effects.

There will be no 3.9. We will jump to 4.0 where will be able to do multiple parallel paths and automate parameters using an LFO.

It has been almost a YEAR since 3.7 and 3.8 is not released yet, IF we are going to see 3.9 it's going to be by the very end of 2025 if not 2026.

I'm completely fine if Helix stops at 4.0. BUT I would always feel that it came very far but ultimately fell short if they left out one amp - the Bogner Ecstacy / 3534.
