We had a pair of Clovers in the office I worked in a decade ago. They were pretty cool to use. Seemed like mechancal engineering marvels. And were frequently broken.

I just ordered an April brewer to try out. The Chemex is great but I drink a lot more coffee with it since I always do a full brewer of coffee which is 400 g of water. Small brews in the Chemex definitely show the paper taste from the filters prominently.
