The Annual NAMM predictions rumours thread 2024

(1). I aint got time for that shit

Not saying any of it is great but, sadly, this is the reality we now live in.

The interesting part is that influencers are comparatively cheap, so everything goes into the same YT pipeline these days - regardless of the manufacturer. Stuff like St. Rock Amperium gets literally the same exposure than Fender's new floor modeler.

I usually just wait for @JiveTurkey to lust over it and then buy it, find out if it’s any good, and then moves it on. :rofl :bag

Tbh I don't ever see that happening. They seem very content with what they have
Agreed. At most they might make a software similar to Tonex that can make the captures on your computer but still using the same old Kemper software.

Pivoting from whatever Kemper is doing to a machine learning solution would be a lot of dev effort and would also instantly make all existing profiles incompatible or having to support two separate systems.

Even just offering a plugin version and the ability for anyone with an interface and reamp box to make profiles would be quite big for Kemper, despite the age of the tech.

I think the stomp sized kemper, interface features and recent Rig Manager updates have all moved things a step closer to that

And why is it that it should be at the end of Simmer/beginning of Fall?
It would make sense from a holiday sales perspective I suppose (assuming what they announce at NAMM would be available by then). The video game equivalent (E3) which has also ceased to exist used to be in June and would you'd see some companies try and get games out for the holidays

Just a thought!

it’ll be the year where it’s mostly youtubers running around with cameras making the exact same content as each other and trying to hook up some freebies.partnerships. rather than what it was intended for.

Would be hilarious if the youtubers were the ones that had to make their own stalls and pitch 😂

Haha! This is why we need more parody and satire. YT'ers are begging for it!

Except customarily NAMM is there to introduce product. Doesn’t mean it’s immediately available

My prediction for NAMM. If Yamaha fails to announce a new percussion multi-pad, the authorities will find my lifeless body floating in a nearby lake.

(Sorry, this is all I'm able to think about lately 😛)
