Suhr new SL68 & SL67 MkII

Hey everyone. I'm new, So I hope it's okay to revive this somewhat old thread.
I'm really interested in the PPIMV design. It's supposedly the same design as in the new Friedman Plex. Can anyone tell exactly what's going on with the Masters technically? Anyone had a chance to open up one of these amps and take a look what is happening with the master volume and how it works?
Cheers!
there are plenty of images showing the insides, have you searched the web?

If you want an FX loop using a Plexi style circuit with no FX loop, do what I do:

Plexi style amp
(speaker out) - Dummy Load
|
Line Out
|
Line-level FX <- (there's your FX loop)
|
Power Amp
|
Speakers

And it sounds even better than an in-amp FX Loop because all the FX are after the powertubes.

It's like having a little mini-studio.

I have actually but I've only found images of the MkI Models insides, only one of the new MKII but in poor quality. It doesn't let you see the MV as a whole. If you could link that stuff to me or put them in this thread would be amazing. Cheers

Just picked up a brand new MKI SL68 at the GC in Nashville that they were blowing out for $1k less than the MKII to make room for the new ones. Anyway…. what a great sounding amp and awesome version of a plexi build. Not sure why I hadn’t picked up one these before.

I can’t speak super technically what’s going on since I’m not an amp tech. I understand it’s a post phase inverter master so the volume control is after the phase inverter tube that’s right before the power section. How that technically works I’m not sure. But I played both the Plex and the Suhr SL68 that I mentioned above. I found both masters to be very similar and worked really well. I walked out with the Suhr because mainly it was the best deal and partly due to it being 100 watts it was a bit more open sounding and dynamic. The Friedman did sound nice thoug. I may send this MKI in to update to MKII specs but it sounds good right now so not in a hurry to do so.
