Strymon Echo Plugin Bundle (El Cap + Dig)

Forgot these existed so I got the demos.

Good lord the DIG sounds amazing. I've wanted the pedal for a while, never actually used anything Strymon outside the Iridium.

El Capistan also sounds great, although not as mesmerizing.

Gets me back to fantasizing about that Strymon board...

I bought the El Capistan and DIG combo shortly after the plugin bundle came out. I bought it with the intention of using El Capistan more, but I’ve been going to the DIG much more. Perhaps I’m in a less lo-fi phase lately.

I didn’t really understand what the big deal was with the DIG when the pedal first came out, but using the plugin helped me understand. The DIG has gotten me closest to dial in Joshua Tre-era U2 delays in my DAW.

The DIG v2 is the most magically delicious digital voiced delay there is.

It's really clean but warm sounding? I dunno, I've been hearing Leon playing the DIG for years and was so close to buying it a few times but never pulled the trigger. It sounds killer though!

I'm trying to A/B between it an the Fractal to see if I can dial in something close.

I wish they had some discount pricing with the Big Sky plugin though, $200 is just too rich for a plugin to me.

I've had almost all the Stymon pedals at one point or another. The El Cap and Dig are my favorites (also the Flint).

I'll have to try the dig. I have the El Cap and Flint on my board at the moment.

Do you think having both (cap and dig) makes sense. As in it doesn't overlap too much?

Dig and El Cap are great compliments to each other. Especially if you lean into each pedals strengths - El Cap for washier dark repeats with the some grit and DIG for that sweet modulation and percussive repeats.

Spent a good hour plus and couldn't quite get the Fractal to match the DIG. It's in the ballpark but can't figure out how to get the same repeats ping ponging. That DIG just sounds great from the get go.

I have no experience with the DIG but since it emulates early digital rack delays, it probably has a compander going on... Be sure to check that parameter in the fractal

I actually like the El Cap plug, but the Dig is obviously awesome.

@Jarick I need to update this but I did some work trying to recreate the v1 DiG when I had it. Haven't compared to the v2 recently.
