u heard dudes say "remove tone pot from EMGs and just run volume to output, or straight pickup to output" to get back the top end?

well I think with modeling squirrels, tone knob suck is key. with it all the way up I think the pot is out of the circuit, shorted, but when you barely roll it back just a few mm to put it in circuit, squirrels gone!

kind of like what this thing does. Just way simpler. (I run two in series)

tubes take a lot of volts though. resistor capacitance and capacitive reactance is free! we need to be mindful of what we are actually feeding the DSP
