Is this for real?
Version 1.1.0 (Released 2025/1)
1. Add the Clone function: Support for loading files in nam format
2. The AMP module adds new effects: A BassVT, Voks Bass
3. The DRV module adds new effects: Bass Drive
4. Computer software Sonicake Manager adds preset, IR, and Clone file management functions
Tell you what, if it can load a standard NAM profile, I don’t care if CPU is maxed out and you can’t load anything else (not even an IR).??? ... yet according to this Y/Tuber here - it was "revoked" in the next day or two due to functionality / stability issues.
Just imagine if it ends up being able to stabily and reliably run standard/full NAM Captures for $65 - it would be one of those very rare times where the phrase "game changer" would be an understatement

But aren’t NAM profiles designed for at least 48kHz?✪ 24-bit 44.1kHz signal processing
My thoughts exactly. Anyhow, we'll keep your eyes on what Sonicake does, at least there's the chance cheap stuff gets the "better" part of the industry into traction.Imho a good sound and feel cannot be achieved if the converters aren't a quality ones.
I'm not saying hi-end stuff, but...
I hope big boys will come into the nam thing asap.
My two cents.

High quality converters are ridiculously cheap nowadays....I know there are some extreme penny pinchers, but you'd really have to be scraping the barrel hard to get audibly bad converters right now. Even some of these uber cheap amazon USB dongle interfaces have ruler flat converters with decent, not all that great, but far better than you'd need for guitar, noise performanceImho a good sound and feel cannot be achieved if the converters aren't a quality ones.

Why is that? is there not enough DSP onboard? This is a cool little device, but there is no way that it is running NAM models.
At a $65 price point? Definitely not.Why is that? is there not enough DSP onboard?
I always love to remeber that the root of capitalism is that you pay way more than what you get. It is normal to pay a lot stuff which is just average. It never happens to have quality stuff for dirty cheap.High quality converters are ridiculously cheap nowadays....I know there are some extreme penny pinchers, but you'd really have to be scraping the barrel hard to get audibly bad converters right now.
