??? ... yet according to this Y/Tuber here - it was "revoked" in the next day or two due to functionality / stability issues.

Just imagine if it ends up being able to stabily and reliably run standard/full NAM Captures for $65 - it would be one of those very rare times where the phrase "game changer" would be an understatement

Tell you what, if it can load a standard NAM profile, I don’t care if CPU is maxed out and you can’t load anything else (not even an IR).

%100 agree. I was only thinking of it as a NAM "standard" player that you could run into the Loop of your modeler or efx unit of choice.

For $65 even if it uses all its CPU juice to run 1 x Standard NAM Capture and cant load or run anything else - its a non-issue.

Also the site page says "Does it support midi ? Not at the moment, but this feature will be added in a future firmware update. Stay tuned."

So pop in in your units Loop, connect the Midi via USB when the FW is updated - bam !

Imho a good sound and feel cannot be achieved if the converters aren't a quality ones.
I'm not saying hi-end stuff, but...
I hope big boys will come into the nam thing asap.

My two cents.
My thoughts exactly. Anyhow, we'll keep your eyes on what Sonicake does, at least there's the chance cheap stuff gets the "better" part of the industry into traction.

I don't know if it was revoked and re-released, but the firmware is available for download here:

This is a cool little device, but there is no way that it is running NAM models.

Most likely it is using a NAM model as a source for doing some sort of distortion/EQ matching like Kemper/Ampero/Mooer.

That would still be an interesting feature, though.

High quality converters are ridiculously cheap nowadays....I know there are some extreme penny pinchers, but you'd really have to be scraping the barrel hard to get audibly bad converters right now. Even some of these uber cheap amazon USB dongle interfaces have ruler flat converters with decent, not all that great, but far better than you'd need for guitar, noise performance

I always love to remeber that the root of capitalism is that you pay way more than what you get. It is normal to pay a lot stuff which is just average. It never happens to have quality stuff for dirty cheap.
Anyway, I’ll be lurking this thing

I think its like mic preamps at this point. You'd actually have to spend more time or money to put a bad mic preamp on an interface in this day and age than a good one
