So… I really need a teacher

Two months ago I stopped with lessons because I wanted to focus on new role within new employer.

So the first month went well. I still played daily, practiced plenty, picked it up whenever I had a couple of spare minute.

Now.. I have not been touching the guitar at all for at least 3 weeks.

Apparently I really need a teacher when it comes to guitar to keep it both fun and accountable!

As someone who has given lessons in the past I have to say that those who needed motivation
from me (externally) were some of the worst students I had. Those who didn't, and had internal
motivation, were some of the best.

There are, simply put, some things a Teacher cannot give us. :whistle

Perfectly normal, at least in my experience over the last few....um....decades. Sometimes the damn thing is dead to me and I never want to see it again; other times, I have to play every day or I suffer withdrawal symptoms.

For me, buying more guitars made me play more.

Seeing them there, all the time, screaming "play me mf'er", is all it took.

That’s good to know! It just slipped a bit out of the routine. And a teacher gives me stuff to work on for the week. Checking YouTube looking for new songs to learn really isn’t my thing and a lot of song lessons on YouTube are rock (n roll) which is often not my music style
