I've said this before but reading this thread with the knowledge that Jubes is slang for condoms in N Ireland is fucking hilarious.

I’d love to see this in the Helix too. ESPECIALLY if they do it as well as the 2203, with all of its channels and push/pull stuff. For me, it’s one of the only amps I still want added to Helix. A Marshall Major is another, which Line 6 actually had a model of in the past…

My Helix wishlist is:
1) Jube
2) Major
3) Go back and revisit their old models, with their latest methods and refinements

If the Helix could get all of its models up to Fractal levels, there wouldn’t be much reason to touch anything else. As it stands, I think it’s an excellent modeler, but there is still some slight, subtle harshness in its distortion on some models. @2112’s excellent Deluxe Reverb comparison is an example of where you can hear it:



Of the stuff I’ve tried, Fractal is the gold standard of getting distortion texture right. Helix is close, but it has a certain sonic fingerprint that makes its distortion a bit more fatiguing to the ears. I think Line 6’s modeling processes are painstakingly accurate, so maybe it’s a limitation of their current-gen DSP optimizations.

I owned a 1988 Jubilee before, and while it was cool it was far from my favourite Marshall. They’re a bit stiff and fuzzy for me, but they’re still a classic circuit none the less and warrant being included in a modeller. Absolutely needs to be both channels, with channel and master volumes and rhythm clip included.

And besides a couple of amps, I’d love to see some older amps revisited. Per my Rectifier thread, it’s on SO MANY albums from the 90’s and deserves to be modelled in full depth with Line 6’s most up to date tech.

All channels, tube rectification and diode, bold/spongy, all channel modes. Even having a triple and dual from different revisions would be very cool to have.

- Bogner XTC
- Diezel Herbert

Maybe they should build a 50w. A new 2555x 100w is $2350 but a new 2203 100w is going to cost you $3550, but the 20w are about the same price. I wonder why?

you mean price in the US? Take that up with the distributor and dealers.
In Germany the 2555x is €1129 and 2525h is 799.-

I got a 2525c the combo version a few years back (before Brexit) new for 600 bucks.
