Should I jump on these V30s?

Oh wow! Look at all the Real Men flexing here.

He already sold them anyway :ROFLMAO:

If you want 16 ohm, Avatar currently has them for $95 each.

Personally, V30s annoy me with their nasal mid honk frequency. I have 4 extra ones I took out of cabs and replaced them with T75s, because those always sound good to me.

V30s to me are kind of a "works with specific amps" speaker. I like my diagonal 2x12 with V30s with my Mesa Mark V and BluGuitar Amp 1 Iridium Edition, but not so much with the Mercury Edition.

Yet every "like V30 except..." speaker I've tried has not sounded as good. There is something to its specific flavor that just works.

I kinda want one of the BluGuitar 2x12 cabs because their speakers are like "Greenback crossed with Vintage 30, leaning heavier on the GB side".

$400 is fine if they are the EXACT V30s you have been pining for for ages. Otherwise; ehh? You'll find more when the time is right. I did the same as @la szum and grabbed an old L6 412 on the cheap and harvested those speakers :satan

I should have never sold my Carvin cab! I bought mine non-functional from a drummer for $80 and all it needed was 1 new speaker and rewiring to get it into perfect working order.

Got mine from the local pawn shop. He was sick of it taking up room; every time I walked in there, the price dropped. I eventually grabbed it for $150 with a cover. Finding a matching head in good condition was a bit harder.
