Blaspheme crew, checking in. I only think the IIC and Mark series overall is notable for Metallica and DT. And LoG's congested guitar tone. I'd say Recto is the 5150 companion.

The Multi-Watt is killer as well, I'm sure. Btw, I'm hunting the OG 5150 too... but the prices are just insane right now on the used market.

I like the 5150iii better comparing this 2 videos for some reason. Only tried one in person, didn't like it. 6505+ doesn't seem like it cuts enough in the vid imo.

I was going to say this, as a big Mark series fan too. Take Metallica out of the equation, and I doubt even Petrucci would have bothered with one. Chevelle got some pretty gnarly Mark tones, and there's definitely a handful of others but there's just countless examples of famous recto tones. IIC+ is only really famous because of Metallica using them, and the scarcity/lore behind it.
