On the fence and cant decide QC or QC mini - fell over the fence and going mini

I stand by my statement. They may have intentionally chosen to go ungrounded with the power supply, but they clearly did not understand the ramifications and properly design the rest of the hardware to account for that.

It seems like they did with the mini, which only reinforces the point. Lessons were learned.

But is the mini different?

I'll have to confirm the noise when mine arrives in 2028.

As stated already, just like stomp boxes, the adapters are floating ground and do not have dedicated earth grounds. This is in an effort to avoid ground loops but everyone's setup is different. If every pedal on your board had an earth ground, it would be nasty to troubleshoot ground noise and loops.

CIOKs, similarly are not earth grounded on the barrel side but are grounded up to the metal chassis. Perhaps the short pigtail RCA wiring is their winning formula or the quality of their PS switching.
My audient ID44 also has floating ground but I opted for a laptop power supply 3 prong that at least grounds it to the brick. It did reduce noise

Right, but again I'm asking you to look at the two lines I quoted. They reinforce this unsubstantiated notion that the wallwart, specifically, causes the original QC to be noisy. I'm just not buying that.

I have no doubt that NDSP made improvements in designing the QCM, nor do I think that's a bad thing. (It helps that I'm still very satisfied with my QC's.)
