NMD: Axe-Fx III MK II Turbo (J.F)

Dude. Think for yourself for two seconds instead of regurgitating Cliff. Does that chassis seem remotely designed to dissipate heat in any way aside from having a couple holes poked in it? HINT an FM0 need not weigh any less. Or have any less overall chassis surface area than an FM3.
Yes, instead of listening to what the product creator said I'll take your word for it.

Great idea...

Maybe we are speaking past one another. My understanding is that Cliff's statement was in relation to the actual box that houses the FM3. A box that is steel. I mean, simply replacing steel with aluminum (4x thermal conductivity) would give a huge amount of headroom, especially if the same mass of aluminum were used, and even more so if ANY effort were made to provide a LITTLE bit of heat-sink type surface area increase somewhere.

"Cliff said..." should always be followed by "and I thought about it for a second".

I mean, the designer of the Ford Pinto told everyone it was okay...

I won't refute personal experience -- you experience what you experience. If your goal was to decrease acid reflux and solid up the poops then all is good. In terms of decreasing stomach acidity though...I would be mind-blown if that has changed at all.

Don't you want an healthy acidity in your tummy, though? Not too much? Not too little? Isn't it all a
delicate balancing act where we can throw off the pH in our stomachs by what we ingest?

The heat is dissipated by the volume of air within the chassis, plus the fan, plus the ventilation holes.

That's a great compliment to Cliff to compare him with the designer of the Pinto.

I feel like you think the design of the existing units was not well thought out. I'm very certain a lot of thought went into it.

Fractal were asked specifically if they could put more processing power (like FM9 equivalent) in something the size of the FM3.

They said no for the reasons I already mentioned. If it was possible by changing the chassis material from steel to aluminum, do you think Cliff isn't smart enough to have thought of that?

In any case, I'm done making my point. I'll shut up now...

You're free to wish and dream - that costs nothing and hurts nobody. Maybe you'll get what you want :)

I took a swig off a Mt Dew recently and almost blew chunks, I LOVED that stuff growing up but much like Pepsi, it tastes like carbonated floor cleaner to me now. I started drinking Zevias a couple years ago, I can't do the corn syrup thing anymore....unless it's Barq's, I'll suck down 75grams of sugar every time I go to Chipotle with a big ass cup of Barq's. :rofl
