Yeah, they’re actually “ass-heavy”. The last one we had in was 7 pounds. Not heavy by normal standards, but the chambered Warmoth strat we have in back as well is 6.8.

The weird thing with Kiesels is that they all seem to be pretty heavy for a headless. Every one I’ve seen has been 6.5 to 7 pounds.
I’ve read that too.. especially if you add a trem.
Kiesel Leia too. But I agree, I want more short scale headlessCongrats on the Plini!
I wonder why there’s almost no 24.75” headless guitars. Even the Salen Jazz has 25.5”.
Only headless with a smaller scale length is a Kiesel Zeus that you can option that way.
So how does it compare to the NJ? Also, is the nut width about the same?

I think most of my Fender Strats are stupid heavy.I have a couple "strats" that are around 9.5 lbs each so 8 lbs doesn't sound that heavy to me.
Btw, with the fanned frets I found that 9,5-46 string sets work way better for me than 9s or 10s.Apples and oranges. Compares great with the Plini as far as being quite different in tones and feel of the fretboard.
Gotta put some Elixirs on in the morning and tweak the intonation a hair but loving it so far.
It's always fun trying to find the blem that knocked 15% of the price.
I looked high and low and couldn't find anything at first.

Yeah, if you're gonna do a headless might as well get one light and balanced as possible. Only makes sense.I think most of my Fender Strats are stupid heavy.
The others not so much.
The reverse for Tele.
For me the weight of the Strandbergs are important since I spent like 20 days a week going to the subway and train and that averages out a 2-4km walk a day which I rather have a lighter git fiddle in my back in addition to the other crap I carry.
WTF? I didn't know that Holdsworth was involved in the Strandberg neck design!?!?
He wasn’t
He gave one to Allan but he almost never played it and didn’t input anything.
That's a pretty young Ola with an early Boden.
Impossible to imagine him not asking for input from Holdsworth knowing Allan's intense scrutiny all of things gear.

Well that's obvious:
The frets are all bent!
That sucks. So the Standard is going back. I have no idea how I hadn't picked up on it earlier but it's got a pretty dead sounding fret - high E at the 12th
Was playing wet thru a lot of gain and then after picking up the Nano started playing some quieter stuff and then picked up on it.
Then you know how it goes - it gets stuck in your head and seems to get worse each time you land on it.
And I really go enjoy jamming the Plini/Prog version a lot more. So bye bye Standard.
Hmmmmmmm............

Haven't owned a neck thru since the Ibanez MC300 back in the 80s...
