Got the hardtail in Zircote.
Been gassing for months on this guitar, I really wanted the FR model but I saw this one at the lowest price I've seen them anywhere used plus I found some horror stories online about the body wood cracking on the FR model so I didn't mind getting the hardtail.
With that I will say the only flaw in my opinion are the saddle height adjustment screws being way too long and digging into the palm but those will be easily replaced.
I can't really form a definitive opinion until I get a proper setup with my Guage strings on the guitar but it is a very tight, solid and well crafted guitar.
It is super easy to play and not too heavy considering some of these can be very weighted. The neck carve I don't mind but it is something I need to adjust to. Just a bit rounder than I prefer but nothing horrible. Maybe between a Fender and an ESP? Idk but I do know I prefer the Ultra thin C by Schecter opposed to this one being thin C. Again, nothing super uncomfortable just preference and something I should be able to adjust to.
The pickups aren't bad depending on what you play. The neck pickup in the single coil position actually sounds amazing but with me being a death metal player I will definitely be swapping the bridge for a Black Winter.
So far very happy with the purchase. Not a perfect custom shop with every detailed spec that I would build BUT not bad at all. Need some time with it after a proper setup but right now I feel this is a keeper.
Im very picky with the wood grain on these as well and this one came out nice
