Yayyy! I have rid my guitars of active pickups, whew! Have 3 sets of Fishman in the closet now, a good place for them.
Put BKP Ragnaroks in the Legator Ghost today - and they are challenging the C-Bombs for brutality, OMG! The low end is like a huge sledge hammer, really cool, got a big grin immediately!
Bit of a pain in the ass, at least I understood how to solder jumpers on the CTS push-pull pot after doing it on the HILS yesterday. Had to enlarge the pickup mounting holes, snip the legs and round them a bit with the dremel - routes are narrow AF on this Legator. But, it worked in the end.
Also something weird with the killswitch, first time I plugged in a cable it flickered on for a half a second and nothing since. Multimeter tested everything and it's all good. Killswitch functions as intended just no more pretty lights! SOB. Oh well, kinda silly anyway but maybe I'll look for a replacement, easy to swap.
Just plain black covers with exposed pole screws - but here's the proof. Never noticed with the Fishmans (of course) but the pole/string alignment is the suck, but meh, who cares - doubt it matters. Bridge pickup is trem-spaced, as it should be, they just didn't route it right.
