NGD: HILS Next - Ichabod Crane Budget Edition now in MFO

Got the Holy Divers on Monday, but that day refused to give me any peace - so much for a nice Veteran's Day, lol.

Got these in last night, had to enlarge the pickup's base screw holes, ream the pot holes and muff around a bit with the CTS push-pull volume pot, hadn't ever used one before. Took longer than I expected but everything works and so far, although haven't played very loud yet, they sound killer! Obviously a pretty huge difference! Reused the stock switch and output jack, they seem good enough quality - and I can always replace either one easily enough if ever needed.

These have little pumpkins on one pole piece of each pickup, orange bases (hard to see) and on the back, impossible to see, are outlined pumpkins on the whole plate. Should've took a picture but my phone was upstairs and I was busy, lmao.

Love the little pumpkins lol

I've been flirting with pickup swaps for mine. Just can't decide what makes sense. I've mostly been looking at more budget pickups - Planet Tone, Entwistle, Tonerider, used Seymours or DiMarzios, etc. So many choices!

Yeah, pretty cool and unique and definitely fits this guitar!

You almost can't go wrong with this one, my feelings are it's a pretty neutral sounding guitar and will probably take any quality brand pickup well.

Thank you, sir!

I believe it's just painted polepieces and main backplate. You could always get paint or fingernail polish and DIY! Just be sure there's no metal in the stuff you use. :grin

I'll only require a small licensing fee and the install of iLOK on any workstations taking part in the exercise. :clint
