I found this used at the local guitar shop.

A 2018 60’s tribute Les Paul with a satin honey burst finish and a slim taper neck profile.

The fretwork and setup was a bit rough but having had experience with another Tribute, these seem to have fairly good bones.
I leveled, crowned and polished all the frets and addressed the fret ends which where getting my rag caught.

I’ve also set it up to my specs - .005” relief at 6th fret, 1.5mm bass/1.25mm treble action at the 12th fret.

And it plays great now.

I put in an order for locking tuners however and a new Graphtech nut.

Awesome guitar. The thing I really like about the tributes is that they get all the big stuff right. Good bones, if you will.

I once had a 50s tribute that was one of my best sounding guitars but JFC the thing weighed almost 12 lbs.

Awesome guitar.
Thanks Thank You GIF by Duke Cannon Supply Co.

Yes, at lest these two I have did have good bones. Though I am replace the tuners with locking tuners and putting in a GraphTech nut.

12 lbs???

back to the future great scott GIF

This one seems chunkier than my Goldtop tribute - I haven't weighted it yet - but this one feels like 8-8.5lbs

8lbs would be awesome. I’ve seen some light tributes so at least they aren’t all boat anchors, fortunately. Mine was.

I liked the tuners on my tribute. The keystones you have on there might be fine once you swap the nut.

I played a Japanese les paul copy that was over 12lbs once. The brand name was Vester or something like that. I was round at a guys house buying a jap 335 and he had this cool looking 'burst' sat on a stand. i couldn't believe how heavy it was.

HNGD! That looks gorgeous. I love the 50s P90 GT Tributes too. I want one so I can sticker it up like Mike Ness's Goldtop.
