NGD: Gibson Les Paul 60’s Tribute

I found this used at the local guitar shop.

A 2018 60’s tribute Les Paul with a satin honey burst finish and a slim taper neck profile.

The fretwork and setup was a bit rough but I’ve leveled, crowned and polished all the frets. The fret ends also needed work.

I’ve set it up to my specs - .005” relief at 6th fret, 1.5mm bass/1.25mm treble action at the 12th fret.

They are! I already had a 2011 goldtop Tribute with P90s so I knew what to expect in terms of neck profile.

Awesome guitar. The thing I really like about the tributes is that they get all the big stuff right. Good bones, if you will.

I once had a 50s tribute that was one of my best sounding guitars but JFC the thing weighed almost 12 lbs.
