Next Gen Fractal Speculation Thread

Like I said in the other thread, Fractal has already won the spec/raw power race. I want him to talk about how he's going revolutionize how you use it. I'm looking for the same sort of UX leap Line 6 made from HD to HX and now to Stadium.
100% the Axe Fx 3 is already a beast

oh gurl..... she mad hahahahahaha

bet its going to sound great but still going to have a tiny screen and horrible UI

I guess computing power was not a problem in current Fractals. So basing the marketing in "I'll give you even more power"... I don't know... It sounds like there'll be not many changes in the rest of aspects? Yes, I'm guilty, I'm speaking about modern super friendly user experience... Sorry.

I’ll bet Cliff uses the additional CPU power to great effect. Always has.

All Gameboy jokes aside, there is a viable way for Cliff to zig in upgrading the UI/UX of Fractal products while everyone else zags.

I'm thinking if he went the Teenage Engineering route and had a super high contrast screen with stylish, simplified elements (plus a touch interface), he really could craft a unique, compelling and functional lane for the next gen of products.

That would take some aesthetic wizardry I've never seen him inclined to indulge in just yet, but no one saw the design of Helix coming from Line 6 before it did either.....

That would be very interesting, but I cannot things of two companies in the entire world that have more diametrically opposed design aesthetics than Fractal Audio and Teenage Engineering ;) .

I was kidding :beer

Y’all enjoy the new Helix stuff being drooled over. I’m good to wait for a SERIOUS level up.
What would be a "Serious Level Up" in your opinion?

IMO, it seems L6 really brought out a lot of new features/options with this announcement. Not sure if you were expecting Unicorns farting out glitter too?

I get it you don't like L6/Yamaha for some reason and it really doesn't matter if you or anyone likes L6 or not, but to say this in not a Serious Level Up compared to the competition is really making you sound like a bitter school girl that didn't get asked to the prom...

Yeah, you take my point. I'm just saying focusing on cpu power may be missing the point of what appeals to people about the Stadium design. In the same way, the appeal of the game boy was largely the user experience.
Given the choice, which would you want:

A. Best digital amp models with great I/O + UI focused on just Amps/FX/Speaker config & tons of storage + great expression control implementation

B. Best workstation, with adequate digital amp models et al.

C. Excellent amp models/effects and excellent user experience.

I think that's what everybody wants. Any high end modeler in 2025 that makes it an either/or proposition will be left behind.

Cliff seems to have a grudging respect for Line 6 (and the feeling is definitely mutual) and is usually not reactionary to what they do. He has less patience for the other competitors in the market, tho, and is not above getting petty with them.
'twas a joke

I'm sure whatever happens, no one making a next Gen product will use such a terrible attempt at humour as I was here.
