NEW Mesa Boogie 90's Dual Rectifier

$3500 Reissue Recto just seems all kinds of dumb to me----given what is out there
on the Used Market.
I felt the same way but I suppose it works for some if Mesa really nailed the revision F given that those amps seem to be sitting somewhere north of $5-6k right now - though I’m still not sure they are actually moving at that price.

I’m very partial to the original revision G, which can generally be had for < $2k. I prefer it over the F so it’s kind of a no brainer in that specific case.

Rev C or F?

I've had 2 Tremoverbs and they were very different.

1994 and early 2000s. The early 2000s was shit.

The 94 was totally different from other Rectos I have/had. It roared with no offending high end. Note, I am mostly not offended by high end even on other Rectos. It is just a description.
Tverbs seemed to always weigh a TON!

I had a 93 Tremoverb combo with a serial loop. I wish I would have kept it. Big logo in the center of the grill cloth. Serial # in the low 2500s.

I was JUST looking into this recently. I had always been under the impression that all Tremoverbs were G with parallel loops, but yeah..,not the case. In that 93-94 timeframe in particular there’s a lot of F/G hybrids and atypical configurations.

Always been curious about the Tremoverbs. Even now, the combo's can be picked up for reasonable prices if you don't mind the form factor (you get a pair of nice era V30's too).

Are the main circuits (besides the actual features) quite different then?

What, you don't like paying more for less?... because replacing the multi-watt with this reissue is exactly it.
At least until the Multi Watt gets reissued and they slap another $1000 on top of that.

Tbf, a 2203 or Plexi costs more than a JVM. If there wasn’t a massive jump in price, I’d rather the 2 channel honestly. 3 channel recto’s are cool but I don’t need the extras, and I prefer the original tone.

The current Mesa pricing is absurd, its boutique prices with mass produced build quality. And I heard some stuff today from some official UK service centres that a few have told Gibson to poke it due to paying invoices late, never have parts to supply and being crap to deal with.
