Given a profit margin of 50% (not too unlikely), selling 1000 units a week would end up with around 1/4 million profit a year.
I know, he possibly won't sell that much in a year, then theres business expenses, taxes and what not - still a pretty lucrative thing.

I think he said parts for about 15,000 so this won't go on for a year even if there is demand. I am sure he will do OK on this kit but he isn't going to be retiring off of it.

Also, gross profit or net profit? I would guess gross profit on these is quite a bit higher than 50% and net a good bit lower.

He also said "we'll see after that". Same thing as with the Notaklon, which is now available through the big retailers worldwide. If there's enough demand, he'd be downright stupid not to stock things up.

Actually that's too harsh. I've had no experience with D-style pedals until this week. I ordered the LPD Bedlum with some extra cash I made that was unexpected. The Bedlum through my Victory Duchess v40 sounded very good (obligatory caveat of the honeymoon period).

The LPD also costs 2x what the JHS does so you would expect it to be very good. I wish the preamp boost button had a volume adjustment but that's my only early observation.

The next day the notadumble arrived. It sounds good/OK but I'm nota-overwhelmed. I want to try the green channel into other pedals to experiment. The red channel seems to have some high-end harshness. I'll have to play with the presence trim pot to see if I can find the sweet spot.

I also have the vox silk drive which sounds excellent to me used as a preamp into a tube amp loop. It seems to need a boost in front of it to match the volume of my also excellent mystic edge. I've heard others say that also.

I've had great tones with the Direct Drive by Barber for classic rock stuff. I may have to save up for the Barber 5-watt BUSS but it's all a rabbit hole at some point.

Some of my favorite guitar tones are the dumbly Larry Carlton and Robben Ford ones. And although I've played with a few "names" during my time and held my own maybe I need that talent pedal along with the unobtanium amp.

I see. The OS module (and the ODS, from what I gather) seems to be a bit like a Mark II/III in that the clean volume affects the Level/Ratio controls on the drive channel.

I know Josh mentioned in the video they have enough parts to build so many and will have to see how things pan out with You know what import charges ?
I would take a guess on that playing a big part if indeed it does end up at retailers like Thomann .
Lots of pedal manufactures / builders have to buy parts from Behringer city in China .
Thomann have great links with Behringer

My only complaint with it is it’s got a little of that pedal thing with the fizzy artifacts in the decay. Other than that I think it’s great!

It wasn’t the right sound for my shows this week, but I know I’ll have some uses for it in the future.
