New Friedman head? Friedman Vintage

I made it about 3 minutes into Leon's Video before I realized what I
already knew. That for the price point you can get damn near a vintage
Marshall.... or a killer Metropolous. Then there is Suhr and Bogner. Or
save some dough ray me and go Ceriatone. Plenty of killer builders and
kits to get you there. Many of which will include superior components at
a lower price point.

Cool that Dave is doing this, but I expect only his user base will find
any lasting interest here. Just playing in a field that has been tilled
time and time again, and not a lot of fresh ground to sow. :idk

Also, the inclusion of a MV makes me wonder if the Vintage tag
should be revoked ASAP! :hmm

Does anyone really trust the sounds they hear coming to your ears via compressed wireless audio on a computer?

And ya, if you're not going to adhere to the vintage recipe 100% add a freaking loop to it!

I'd definitely buy Metropolous or Germino for vintage plexi before a Friedman.

Someone at FAS forum is requesting this already.

Christ

Listening to Leon's video my first thought was that it sounds almost the same as the 6CA7 plexi model that I use all the time in the Axe-FX.

A bazillion. So fucking stupid.

Cliff clearly loves the plexi amps. The various models do sound different and I find that I tend to prefer different models with specific guitars. It is a bit redundant, but more is more. Its not like there aren't any other amp types to choose from if the plexi sound isn't your thing.

Have you not caught onto his budget design & implementation hustle?
I hope he sends the pitbull from TT to attack me.
Some pedal builder needs to build him a signature
Super-Overdrive Snark pedal.
I do like hearing a Friedman without all the filtering
& big bottom end bologna.
I would actually like to own this Friedman but no way for the coin.
Full on custom trannies/NOS tubes loaded and more current day functionality= a fat whip, then yes I’d entertain buying one at that price point.
These days, you gotta be mindful of sneaky shit going on for what you really pay for under the hood, so it’s a high risk to lose purchase.
I want that money lost,
that goes somewhere,
for them country fried steaks @Earl’s!!!’

The Bluetone somebody just mentioned is
THE way to go for that Plexi 50 WITH a f’n loop.
(Optional btw).
Even if you loaded that Bluetone up with options.. -you’re still taking the family out for country fried steaks at Earl’s on Saturday night!

That company’s got some killer, killer stuff minus the herds of typo’s littered all amongst their website🤣.
I DIG their true 3 channel “Crossroads” amp.
The customization options in that amp are mindblowing.
Anybody have a Bluetone?
You dig it?

However,
If I were going this route of an amplifier…
-I’d go RedSeven “The Dirt” FTW!!💯

Edit: holy herds of cash that Dirt amp be!!
That’s disqualifies it and the Bluetone has now taken the gold leader slot for the “vintage”
Plexi 50.

Amp looks super cool but I could never see owning one. I'd be more interested in the Marshall SV20 and even then I'd need an attenuator.

I just ordered a SC20H and if it's not everything to me when I get it, I'm probably going to trade it in to try the SV20H. I am doing my research to build one of those John H attenuators while I wait for it.

It was a hard decision between the 2, but the SC20 came out on top due to the MV and I watched a bar band one night and the guitarist had the SC and it sounded glorious to my ears.
