New amp; inbound. FINALLY \M/

@JiveTurkey Did you try any boosts yet?
I have a GT-OD incoming that I'm going to tweak a little, on the ZW44 setting (internal switch) it's basically a SD-1 but without the output buffer stage which allows it to be even louder.
I find that the cleaner the boost the more natural the amp sound remains, I'm basically a fan of high headroom mid boosts with plenty of output.

I have not. You might not have noticed :bag but I tend to get super-manic with new gear of substantial value. Especially if my day was LONG like yesterday seemed tobe. It's a shortage of patience when all I want to do is get to the facemelt stage :satan

We are gigging both nights this weekend (neither of which involving the JVM) but I will probably give some outboard boosts a go next week. Honestly, the way I like the OD channel on this it doesn't need anything. Serious heavies. If anything; I will be super keen to see how the crunch channel does boosted

Your heavy water will sound great into the crunch channel.

I tend to use the OD channel on it's own and use the crunch channel with boosts, fuzz and ODs.

I honestly feel like it's the type of channels that need VOLUME to get gain? Tbf; I was still playing through the Suhr and my IR so that isn't a 1:1 to playing through a real speaker.

I do have it pretty loud when my kids at school and rehearsals. It also depends how much gain you're talking about. That channel is more classic Marshall Ac/DC gain levels for me vs face melting on the OD channel.

Initial thoughts:

1. The loop is going to take some tweaking. It's going to take some finagling for sure; even using the one suggested by Spawn.
2. This thing is fucking idiotically heavy. I will never gig this out. These morons need to work on making some weight reductions instead of designing Marshall fucking socks.
3. Tone is satan approved. Even if dude didn't send the pentagram with the amp :hmm :satan More thoughts to come after some jam time.

Happy Fuck Yeah GIF
