New amp; inbound. FINALLY \M/

I was looking around last night and found a JVM1watt head and combo :bag If you could slave it out to another power amp...:rofl
There's a JMD 50W going for about £200 over here that I'm tempted by. That has some JVM channels (as well as a ton of other Marshall preamps). Not sure how much lighter it would be from an actual JVM because it still has a valve poweramp but if you're interested....

Damn, now you have my gears turning. I have a JMD100 downstairs that hasn't gotten much love lately, I could easily set up the FM9 to work with it, and leave one of my 1960s at the rehearsal cave and just haul the head and FM9 back and forth. The drummer would LOVE that (he wears earplugs and gives us shit about being too loud already). :crazy

Would love to hear some tones out of the JMD! What do you think of the modelling on it?

I was honestly very impressed by it, Softube did a great job with the modeling in the JMD series Marshall then shit the bed with the Code series. The JMD also gets plenty of love on the Marshall forum, and those are largely old-school tube guys.
Yeah I’ve seen a ton of guys there who are very fussy about amps and tones say very good things about it. Sort of tempted to take a punt but I have absolutely no need for it (except to try it out and then send on its way to @JiveTurkey )

https://vocaroo.com/ is a simple way to go and it embeds here easy peasy \m/

Fingers crossed this works.

Tele into crunch orange, no pedals or anything. This was just recorded straight onto my phone so the qualities not great.

Same settings with my LP

This overloaded the mic a little. Also not sure why I'm getting two posts above but one is crossed out.

I did fire up the Warmoth tele through it last night but still did drop D nu death riffs instead of doing what a tele should be doing :bag :rofl I'll give it a go this evening if time allows. Thanks for the clips!

Even if dude didn't send the pentagram with the amp :hmm :satan

That was gain about 1/3 of the way up treble and bass about 1 o'clock and mids about 11 o'clock. The presence and resonance are all the way off. Master is pretty low cause my wife has friends over.

I've never heard of a JMD before.

It's an older series of hybrid amps with a digital preamp and tube power section. And they sound really, really good. There are also basic onboard effects like delay and reverb (can't remember what they had for effects as I always 4CMed mine with a floor processor to provide effects and control MIDI switching of the presets in the head).

I paid about $500 for mine about ten years ago. I think they're still hovering right around that price now, though I haven't actually looked for any.
There's a combo on GC used for $399? Still looks too oversized :hmm Boogie Marks and 50 wat EVH's spoil you for always wanting that Beetlejuice shrunken head experience!
