NDSP Quad Cortex

If they release one more plug-in after all this time and it’s not in X format and will require a rework at a later date , they are the biggest idiots of all time

Even if it is X, they have to make a firmware for it to work.

If it slips to the front of the plug-in firmware line, people waiting on Rabea or the Mesa Mark IV or Fortin Cali or whatever will get mad that they're being slighted.

If it stays at the back of the queue, no QC user will be able to use it before 2027 at a minimum.

It's soooooooooooooooooooo dumb.

Thought I was going to end up with a QC this weekend when someone was looking to trade one for an amp. I figured it’d be easier for me to move the QC than it will be for the Electra Dyne, but the dude only reacted to my messages with heart emojis, so I dunno WTF he’s thinking. I was so hoping I could start Monday off with a “Guess what?” post that would surely shock a few. :rofl
OMG you owning a QC, even temporarily, would have called for a Scanners headsplosion gif or two. And if you’d actually liked anything about it…

Maybe, it will launch with QC compatibility right from the start. Hopefully all new plugins do, but who knows

But if it arrived in X format at Least that one step they can avoid

Well, they wouldn't avoid the step of doing something they explicitly said they wouldn't do...yet again. But anyway, I'm just here to watch the clown show. They painted themselves into a corner with PCOM from which there seems to be no escape.

I think the only way out would be to not release anymore plugins until PCOM is sorted, and when the last one gets the X treatment they could then drop a new plugin that’s already compatible. That’s the hard road, they won’t take it lol

I used to think there was no way they'd cut off one of their highest margin income streams, but it's been quite a while since they released one.

Frankly, I have no idea what the true health or viability of that company is these days.

From the public perspective, they seem in a sort of a zombie limbo, throwing stuff like vocal plugins and whatnot against the wall to see if anything can stick.

I just think they are trying to keep the lights on and make money re the Vocal plug-in
I am sure they are none too happy about ToneX and probably less thrilled with Line6 Proxy arriving in the new year

That's another head scratcher for me: Why have they never been able to figure out how to do a viable marketplace? They clearly need the income. Tonex has shown that there is a considerable market for name brand third-party capture content.

I can only assume it is rank incompetence?

I don't know specifically but I imagine they want to avoid negative press for implementing it before fulfilling other promises.

There may be a factor of lost revenue from plugins also.
