I did like it. But liked the helix a bit more and can’t keep both at the moment. I’m sure I’ll get another in the future. Just how I roll sadly. Flip gear. I’m dumb. You returning it? Thought you liked it
Close but not quite same. You have to exit that live mode if you want to tweak a stomp or amp setting. Not a huge deal. Just dig the scribble strips by the switches. Why did the live screen not deliver that scribble thing?
No your Human , that’s why we are all here really ,I did like it. But liked the helix a bit more and can’t keep both at the moment. I’m sure I’ll get another in the future. Just how I roll sadly. Flip gear. I’m dumb.
The direct access buttons and such on the Helix.Which physical controls? This is one area where I’d say QC wins hands down.
Scribble strips are nice. Can’t argue with that.
That makes perfect sense in fact I think that was on thing the designer at L6 used as an example to a car interior and dash/ radio controlsThe direct access buttons and such on the Helix.
Best analogy I can think of is having all controls on a touch screen like in a Tesla vs having physical controls for HVAC, seat heaters, etc, but smaller less functional screen like in a more traditional car.
Was doing a test on the official backing track of a Caligula's Horse song today, one with all the guitars removed, and my guitars totally disappeared into the mix.
I guess this is where re-amping and maybe having some basic mixing skills come into it.
Mids, bro. Pumping them up clears away most "guitar disappearing in the mix" issues.
Pumping them in the EQ did bring them out a bit I have to say, but the preset is fucked at the source. Best option, I think, is to loop a section in re-amp and dial the tone to the song.
If you're using Sam Vallen's exact QC preset, he has it dialed in for his guitar and pickups. But any 5150/5153 + V30 combo should have enough presence and mids to cut for their music. So probably start with a new patch with that combo and set every EQ setting to 6.
Tweak from there
Holy shit, I think @LCW is a serious contender for giving @JiveTurkey and Gasp a run for their money in the frequency of “buy the same thing multiple times”
Gasp still remains undefeatedHoly shit, I think @LCW is a serious contender for giving @JiveTurkey and Gasp a run for their money in the frequency of “buy the same thing multiple times”
Yeah his MO is like:Gasp still remains undefeated
And unchallenged
He is the best pro flipper there is , the best there was and the best there ever will be
I feel offended.[…] To complain about the short comings of a certain product
Then to buy ,said product again because if you didn’t JIVE w it the first time maybe you will on the 4th
Not naming anybody specific BTW
Dont you won't like itI feel offended.
And am currently considering to buy another FM3.
Yeah his MO is like:
"I should sell these pants I'm wearing and get some new ones! ...What do you mean 'Do you have another set of pants you can use'?"
i bet he has a helix and a fractal and a boss and a ton of other model stuff if he is a gear nerdQC spotted!!! Jim Root being interviewed on Tone Talk…
Always love listening to him. He’s a total gear nerd. He’s using it somewhat reluctantly but recognizes the size/efficiency of digital. But he loves his tube amps.
