Here's a shiny new video about using Tone3000's Dry/Wet trainer, over on the Tone3000 youtube channel:
@Elf strange that it crashes "most of the time". Since some assets folder is suposed to be missing, my guess is that it would crash all the time or not at all. Im surrprised that such a bug would exist for more than a year, 0.7.13 has been released in december 2024. Can any mac user confirm the standalone behaviour so we are sure everyone is exeperiencing the same thing? I can open the issue eventually if anyone can provide the crash log so i can attach it.Up to date M1 machine here, the stand alone latest NAM App crashes at startup most of the time, it works as expected in Logic.
Speaking of Windows 11 here, I've never got the official standalone NAM app to work properly on any of my machines. With a fresh install everything seems to be fine until one day random crashes, freezes or audio issues appear - eventually the app wouldn't even launch. A proper clean reinstall has never fixed the issue either so I've given up on it entirely.@Elf strange that it crashes "most of the time". NAM Universal has been working flawlessly and is my go to for standalone NAM captures.
EDIT: I'll look into making a bug report once I have time to investigate this issue on my end as well, perhaps I'm not alone with this issue.

TONE3000 will also re-train all A1 models that were originally trained on their platform so that you can have their A2 equivalents immediately in the usual ways (in your browser, via their API, etc). The A1 models will stay available.
Do you know if this applies to the captures that are labeled Captured on T3K?As well as all the great things coming up, this is a really nice touch. =)
feel free to send some info via email to tone3000 support, it can be looked intoDo you know if this applies to the captures that are labeled Captured on T3K?
What about captures trained with TONE3000, downloaded, and re-uploaded as a new pack?
Pretty awesome update on the cards. I assume accuracy will increase and hardware compatibility will be easier with the new a2 architecture.

Architecture "A2"
In quarter 1 of 2026, I plan to develop and release a new default architecture for snapshot NAM models. I'm going to name this architecture "A2". Here's the plan. What's going to happenNothing is going away. The existing "standard WaveNet" and friends (now called A1-standard, A1-lite, A1-feather...www.neuralampmodeler.com

This is good, but a lot of it sounds exactly like what Tonex V2 already does. Even its test signal is a combination of bleeps and bloops with various guitar tones, and it takes about that 3m period too.Pretty awesome update on the cards. More power to Steve ... period
I would however respectfully suggest a healthy reality check is needed or people need to stop pissing in his pocket:-
" A2 will be industry-informed Few technologies in audio are used in more places than NAM - the only that I can think of is impulse responses "
Just off the top of my head
- DAW's
- Midi
- Midi Instruments
- Ethernet Audio
- Dante
- Madi
- Samples
- Plugins all formats
- Software / Hardware Component Modelers
- FRFR Systems
- Kemper Profiles
- Tonex Capture
- QC Profiles
- ASIO Drivers
- CoreAudio
The list goes on. Dude needs to get out more.
Last I checked, and I could be wrong here, approximately:
~200,000 NAM models on Tone3000
~60,000 tonex models now on ToneNet
~25,000 kemper rigs on rig exchange
That being said, there are probably more illegal copies of FL Studio out in the wild than all of that combined.
I have no more buy in to nam than I do for a bunch of other evolving platforms (TMP, stl, stadium (when I get on lol)). But I genuinely think Steve’s contributions to the audio world are undeniable. Not only has he democratised “capturing” at a high level, it’s also out there open source for anyone to go and grab and do what they want with it. How often do we see this kind of thing?*Not* knocking NAM ..... but it seems someone has started to believe the hype being poured on them -and/or- their own growing self-opinion is clouding reality.
