Midi coming to UAFX pedals

Mr GIF

Everything I’ve seen including the Santiago video says 127 presets.
I think that is via midi. If I understood correctly the new footswitch options let you switch between 4 presets with the onboard switches now.

I'm not going to bother updating my Golden. I'm just going to keep using it as if it were a single mode pedal, the way I always have been. Actually I just picked up another Ventris recently anyway, so the Golden may not get much of a look in for a bit!

I still can't even launch UA Connect to update anything, it just endlessly spins and then errors out.

I'm not upgrading either! I don't need MIDI for the Golden and it's a crappy implementation. There's also something to be said for keeping your product focused on what it is instead of adding tacked on features.

Ah, yes I was referring to midi. I didn’t realize they updated the hardware preset capabilities too.

I don’t think more than 4 presets is really viable with hardware controls and switches alone anyway. 4 is almost too much even for someone like me that loves having tons of sounds available.

Would love your thoughts on how the Ventris and golden compare. The only reason I didn’t buy a golden ages ago was the lack of midi. Now that they’ve added it I’m fighting the urge to buy several of these.

I don't need MIDI but I'd like to see if there's better stability with bluetooth connection. I only have the Ox Stomp and there's a lot of features I need connected to the app to adjust.

They both sound really good. But honestly, I think the Ventris can do every single sound that the Golden can do. The Ventris is genuinely amazing, and so once again I am asking you all to watch my 2 hour Ventris breakdown video:

Just got the "official" email from UA.

" Access 4 stored User Preset to switch between "

Wow .... so they finally implement this 3 1/2 years after release and allow you to have 4 presets ?

UA just never stop being UA !

well FAS just added an on off switch to the metronome so idk what year it is

Thank you, that means I don’t need to buy the golden lol.

Your demo is why I bought the Ventris in the first place. Still my favorite reverb pedal.

Finally got mine to connect and update. Seems like it can do USB control but only from mobile devices lol

I keep debating between a Golden and the Collider.

Love my UAFX Golden (the simpler UAFX Heavenly is also nice if you only want the plate reverb and don't need stereo). I've never tried the Collider or the Ventris, though.

I keep debating between a Golden and the Collider.

If you want a reverb, I’d go with the Ventris and not the collider. The Ventris has a lot more extensive capabilities than the collider.

If you want a delay reverb combo pedal, then I’d compare the UA delverb and collider. The delverb looks really cool to me. I have no experience with either though.

Collider is actually great too. It is much simpler, but also you can stack a delay and a reverb, or two reverbs, or two delays ... so in a way, it is actually a bit more flexible than the Ventris.

I have the Ventris once again, and the Nemesis ADT. I'll grab a Collider at some point I'm sure!

Wish they would add IR load (independent left and right, and ability to bypass left or right) and a parametric EQ.

The Collider can run Delay and Reverb in parallel, where I am pretty sure the Delverb runs them in series. That is a big reason why I have considered it.

I actually have the Heavenly and Evermore, but $400 for just stereo seems like a big jump for the Golden.

Yuck, I much prefer them in parallel.
