Metallica thread for expressing hot takes

I get like, 1 little twitch of why they initially hazed him? He was a monumental addition to them and definitely saved them so they probably should have knocked it off at some point vs. feeling blindsided as to why he was leaving while they were making a documentary of them going to a therapist.
Yeah, the childish shit seems to be what they did. They had a plate of sugar, chalk, or whatever left out for Dave Mustaine when they played shows in the 90s for a "joke." It isn't funny, and I don't really get why Dave has often felt lesser than because Megadeth didn't sell what Metallica did or whatever. I'm guessing it has something to do with his upbringing mixed with getting kicked out of the band.

I'm drewish...... because......this place.

My Metallica hot take: I always liked Jason…but when I look back on some of those older concerts…like Binge and Purge, etc. dude was such a beast and you could tell he was having so much fun. I never gave him as much credit as he deserved.
Yeah, he's a great player.

Bands with a long history and catalog have highs and lows - and almost all have personnel changes. There's Green-era Fleetwood Mac, Welsh-era and Buckingham-Nicks-era (the last incarnation played the hits and a couple of Crowded House songs. Finn-era?). I like some of all the eras and dislike other bits, but Mick Fleetwood and John McVie were constants - even without being the songwriters. Some fans only care for one lineup.

And I think Nick Cave can change who he likes in Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. But it's been lame as (IMHO) since Blixa and Mick Harvey left.

Metallica has the "Cliff" burden ala Brian Johnson in AC/DC. I was a kid in Australia in the 70's - I'll concede Back in Black but never the same.

And I saw Star Wars in the cinema - there is no such movie as A New Hope (and Han Solo shot him cold).

I have to go outside and yell at some clouds now. Peace out!
