Looking for new 50 watt modelling amps

Are there more amps I should be looking at? Can I use a normal footswitch with the Catalyst?

If you haven't made any purchases, I'd wait a bit. Apparently there's a 3rd gen Katana coming out.

@Digital Igloo on the catalyst series it appears as if it uses a standard TRS input for the footswitch input. Would a regular 2 button footswitch work or is there something special in the catalyst pedal?

It’s uses a standard two switch pedal with momentary switches - a ton of em on Amazon for $20.

I got to try out the LT50 yesterday and it was awesome. Very very similar to the mustang gtx 50. Perfect speaker emulator out. But it shares the other mustangs Uber downside of proprietary footswitches. None of the momentary or sustained switches I tried worked. Does anyone know how the MGT4 switch is wired? It said there were two other fender switches that could work, the ms4 and the ult 4 or something

The Mustang GT switches are notorious for not working right.

Are they like resistance networks or something? Trying to figure out how they could work. I had the whole setup plus the expression pedal for a mustang 4, I should have taken it apart and had a look
