Line 6 Helix Stadium

A random guy get a modeler I want sooner than me? I demand he records a professional demo! :pitchforks:pitchforks

:guiness

Some of you are really weird. Hope you're not like that in real life, for the sake of the people who are around you :wat
Nobody demanded anything.

But to paraphrase one of my favorite movie quotes: “He was so preoccupied with whether or not he could, that he didn’t stop to think if he should!”

LMAO.

He isn't a YouTuber, and may not even know how to record his voice with a microphone. I would be happy he chose to share anything at all, 'cus I wouldn't have bothered in his shoes.

I'd hope he would, given that he's got a high end audio interface. Time to crack the manual!

In any case, that Stadium looked very sexy. Form-factor on these things is just right - the Floor one (non-XL) is very Glodilocks-close (QC still has the better form-factor imho but that's about it).

Can't wait to see people put these through their paces properly.

..can't wait to see the Stompium rear its head :sofa

I'd argue the Stadium is better than the QC, due to actual power supply and IEC, instead of turd-like laptop power supply. :D

Me too, but I think it will be a while. They might come out with a Stomp version of the Stadium faster than last time (HX Stomp came out 3 years after the Helix), but my guess is that they will have to wait to be able to hit a certain price point. The Stomp is 700USD new now, so I'm guessing that means a Stadium equivalent would easily hit 1000USD if released now. I think an FM3-priced Stomp would be very poorly received by a lot of the Stomp's userbase, even if it makes sense.

idt I've ever written "Stomp" more times in a row. You'd think I was a West End critic in 1991.

Eh, I think if the Stadium lives up to what it seems to be, they'll rightfully ask $999 or so for one. But we'll have to wait and see.

Oh, I think it's a fair price considering the market etc etc. But a lot of people who use the Stomp now see it as a budget and convenience device, and are not people who primarily use or even necessarily like modelers. It's always hard to tell what overall reception is to something because the critics can be the loudest (or only) voices in an online room, but I can see a significant amount of people being upset about that price point. Of course, Line 6 will have the market research and numbers and all that.
