Remove the stomp switches and replace them with parameter knobs. Et voilà - we have Helix Stadium Desktop.

I don’t mind a little bigger device, just try not to make it as much of a tank as the FM3

5" in a similar-sized chassis would likely mean no dedicated parameter knobs. You'd be using the touchscreen for everything or the whole tap parameter-turn encoder, tap parameter-turn encoder thing (which isn't as bad as it sounds). It certainly seems to work for products like Hotone Ampero II, Headrush Flex, and select Yamaha digital mixers; not sure if it'd work for us.

Maybe we should come up with a few designs and workshop 'em.

If the encoder is clickable, make it like go through the parameters, click you edit, click again back to scrolling parameters. Extra points if the encoder has steps.

There are few things in this world that give me more satisfaction than stepped encoders.

Our desktop solution would end up being something like Helix Stadium Native. Removing a few switches to make an all new form factor sounds like Taco Bell to the extreme.

For me, 4 switches and 5-6 encoders plus a "suitable" (whatever that is) screen would be fine. Pretty much like laxu's mockup from a while back.

I liked it too but your looking at FM3 size then which might be an issue for the stomp
