Line 6 Helix Stadium

Yes, I do. I honestly don’t know why anyone would think that had to be the case. If they copied it, the products would sound like the ones supposedly copied. They don’t from anything I’ve heard. Not even close.

There’s a lot more developers there than here. You could probably hire a dozen or more for the cost of one elsewhere.

I’m pretty sure we’d see some lawsuits if it involved filched code. I’m not certain why these assumptions keep being made.

I don’t have any reason to vehemently disagree with you, except to say that there’s already precedent for code theft. But perhaps we’ll never know.

Understand Captain America GIF

I was hoping somebody would. Classic movie.

This is bad business. If you make fun of him, he won’t buy a Stadium…then again, if you don’t make fun of him, he also won’t buy Stadium. Hmmmm. Never mind, carry on.

I would say it’s more of a running inside joke than it is any actual personal digs at Tim.

It's been ages since the last time I watched it. I vowed to my father I would never watch it again. Damn... I can still smell that newspaper.

Btw, it took like 25 years for me to learn that some songs from the movie came from a Robert Smith, Reeves Gabrels and Jason Cooper side project (COGASM: COoper, GAbrels, SMith). How cool is that.

Lol. I almost feel like Tim buying a Hellx Stadium would be a bigger endorsement of the product than someone like John Mayer buying one. I won’t hold my breath though.
I would agree with this. I mean when I connect with something I am the 1st one to rave on and on about it but I don’t make yt vids

Do you seriously think those companies developed their own modeling? I mean, maybe. But I’m cynical.
Probably licensed the code from someone else. It'd kinda be hilarious to me if most of these cheap modellers were Fractal amp sim licensing deals. :rofl :bonk

I think it's also wrong to lump companies together.

I can believe e.g Donner, Mooer etc brands take an OEM product and rebrand it, but Hotone and Nux are certainly doing their own thing from scratch.

Mooer has already been caught once ripping off code. So I don’t think they’re a particularly ethical company. But yes, they can’t be lumped all together.

How did you come to that conclusion?
I'm a developer and worked 3 years for an company that had an audio app for gaming (not as audio engineer, but I met a few there). And the second part is pure logic: hiring top developers, or top anything, isn't easy.

If I was an audio developer, I might work for brands like Hotone in my early years, but if I became really good, I'd aim for companies not known for making good enough cheap products.
