Line 6 Helix Stadium

everything you say there is all the same person
eg. Jean/Francois/AudioTransformer/Alias guy/No Talk Guitar.. btw he removed that channel after last round of this and tried to disappear...
On youtube he is now called DysonSphere333

He deletes all his accounts, then returns again.
On Fractal Forum he was called 'Yvan Bloomberg' - not sure if he was banned or not, but if so, it's highly likely he's now joined with a new account and is called ''Swiss Studio''
So he is now named after an expensive vacuum cleaner on youtube that sucks up dirt ?
I am sure there is irony there somewhere if we look for it

There was a clear warning in this thread to stop the personal BS, otherwise a ban would follow. Maybe Tim didn't read it...
Anyhow, as has been said by others, while sometimes a bit strange, I defenitely think he's a good guy and doesn't deserve to be banned.
Not a personal attack but if he's message King then he hasn't been banned I imagine lol

Maybe he's misunderstanding something

I’m pretty much in your camp with effects. Amps, reverbs and delays are my jam. I’m not a modulation guy much if at all. If needed, I’ll add boosts or light drives to goose the amp. Sometimes EQ, but usually if I’ve done my homework (tweaking, mixing, chain design & cab choice if needed) the EQ is rarely needed unless to adjust for loudness.

For me, beautiful reverbs are a work of art and add so much when used well. Delays are in the same category as well now that I think about it.
I typically only use one or another at a time so that I can fully appreciate each. But that’s relatively only recenty. I need to explore using them in parallel more fully as that may preserve the individuality of each when used together.

Getting away from all-in-ones for a moment. If I had one standalone that I believe is not mentioned enough and is possibly underrated… it’s the Neunabor Illumine. In my experience this unassuming looking little box is stellar. For my tastes and uses, it is better sounding than any Strymon, Audio Source, Boss, L6, and even Lexicon or Yamaha units I have tried. To me, it’s a modern rack unit in a stomp. I think the only ones that I have tried that are close to me would be UAFX’s plates and halls. The reverb type centric pedals offering either are a considerable bargain at current prices if you don’t need features they lack such as midi and stereo.

OK, back to our regularly scheduled topic. But when it comes to reverbs, I get excited and just can’t help myself! I spared everyone from a paragraph on delays which I almost wrote.
I believe that good verbs take a ton of processing power.... but then, I would be fine with them taking as much as needed to achieve the result as I think they add a huge amount to a performance live.

Your point on the eq is good as well; however, eq doesn't tax the DSP much at all. The verbs do though.

I remember having my TC M3000 in my mixer rack in the 90's. It was beautiful. Now you can get it with the purchase of a Behringer Wing built in as one of the "premium effect units". My point being that the DSP certainly exists today to pull off truly inspirational verbs and delays. I hope that Line 6 bellies up to the bar and comes up with the good in this department.
