Line 6 Helix Stadium

A load of internet nobodies who think they're important and have nothing remotely useful to contribute. Pathetic and hilarious. Reminds me of one of the recent Tone Junkie videos - started with a phrase like 'I've been doing sitting around, doing some thinking...'. It was nearly 20 minutes of the main guy waffling on. Who cares what these people think? I hate how self-important they are.

Something has to be causing them a roadblock imo. It's been way too long especially when their next update is allegedly mostly PCOM updates
As someone who’s spent 20 years in software I keep up to date with NDSP updates…I have no idea how heads haven’t rolled over there, it’s actually comical.

5 years and there’s still only 4 plugins on the thing.

Did you at least get the carrying case and coffee table book?

Yet you are posting the above on a public forum

That seems a tad harsh. I just don’t watch most of them unless it’s someone’s whose opinion I value. Like @2112 or maybe the pretty reliable guy with a slight accent, beard and shelves filled with amps behind him. His name escapes me at the moment… ah, Jon Symon

Fuck off, internet nobody who thinks they're important and have nothing remotely useful to contribute. :stirthepot

J/K, kinda

yep, he's the same guy

also side note, he once thought that the 'nexus is the new helix' rumour was true so made a 'nexus users group' on facebook

* Digital Igloo had to comment there and put it straight and then Jean removed the group.

* maybe @iaresee can confirm by comparing between the Yvan Bloomberg account on Fractal Audio Forum, and the Swiss Studio account.
Pretty sure it is Jean, plenty tell tale giveaways, but can't confirm 100%

Is this a different guy than Audio Transformer/Nembrini?

I hope that the inclusion of the Expand D10 indicates that Variax has some sort of future? I would love it if that concept came back.

When I saw that it reignited my interested in the Variax stuff. I'd wanted one for a long time but figured when they stopped making them it would be the end of any kind of support/advancement, the second they said 'We didn't forget about our Variax users" my ears perked up. That thing has got to be a killer studio tool.

I had one for a while, and it was really cool. I wish I didn’t sell it lol. SUPER convenient with tunings and I’m always changing guitar tunings on the fly for a song.

Fwiw, if any kinda Variax technology makes a reappearance, would it possibly be a decent idea to hand the processing over to whatever the suitable floor unit is?
Now, maybe I'm totally off the mark here, but as some of the settings came with quite a noticeable latency (most notably anything requiring alternate tunings), I always happened to think it might've had to to with the lack of CPU juice available inside the small onboard units. A unit as powerful as the Stadiums should likely have less issues to process 6 signals individually, no? And for those wanting to use their Variax MkIIs with other units, there could possibly be a separate processing box.

Also, handing over 6 separate audio streams to the Stadium would allow for some incredible stuff. Anyone who has ever played a Hex-pickup signal into some "poly distortion" will already know what I'm talking about. I only once had that opportunity, playing a rig of someone I knew back then. He used a GK pickup with a breakout box, so that 6 separate signals were running into another specialized box only doing overdrives and a bit of filter-ish stuff (IIRC, it's been quite some years...) and it was instantly glorious to play some heavily distorted chords with no intermodulation between the strings. From all I know, some Roland VG units allow for similar things (even if they seem to focus more on the synth part rather than keeping the string signal intact and going from there).
