Has anyone said whether or not H-S will have block channels, ala Fractal?
... Time passes, people and Team Helix doesn't slow down.
I find the Dynamic reverbs cover pretty much everything I want including the spacey, Strymon-like joints.
Wait I know I’m an idiot but how is capturing modulation even possible
I thought I had read all switches we A/B. So 2 statesHas anyone said whether or not H-S will have block channels, ala Fractal?
We’ve seen companies launch products light on features and heavy on promises these last couple years. Your concern isn’t unfounded.Thanks. Perhaps you’re right that I am being too cynical. I’ve just seen promises made that either weren’t delivered upon or took forever to actually appear. That’s why I said I was tired of the approach. Perhaps Line 6 will deliver and we’ll see but I’m not encouraged if any of their strategy is to limit what what can be delivered to older hardware. I hope it’s not.
Call me crazy but I think the new $2k+ platform is more than capable of running a a more complex and pleasing reverb than the HX One I paid $249 for. And that those differences will be apparent to more than just a few folks. Crazy, I know.
Finally, as far as being cynical, the hostile reception here isn’t helping. My points are valid to me don’t break any logic that I’m aware of and if implemented would benefit everyone, including Line 6. I also have spent zero time (or intended to) denigrating HX Effects. I just stated that I think there’s room for improvement and I believe the new platform offers an excellent opportunity to move on that. It doesn’t seem like that’s what people hear unfortunately.
Haahaaa! That's hilarious, but I created nothing alone.
I totally understand this, but my thinking is at the time when I do jump into the newest stuff again or make that investment because I haven’t bought top-tier for a while. I’m just gonna get whatever is the latest best thing I’m not gonna buy a used helix or a new helix. It’s just not me. I would buy a used TMP if it was such a steal because I do like the display, but I probably still hold off for a while to see what fender does what my point is like you were saying if I’m gonna jump in and make an investment I’m gonna get what I think is the best sounding to me and the latest because if I can afford helix, I can afford a helix Stadium that’s just 96 is already admitted as well as the guys they got to try on that it sounds better than the helixnow someone will say it’s not that much better and others will say it’s like a night and day, but the fact is, it’s a new engine built from the ground up so going forward it’s probably gonna be “betterThe thing is… in your case. You wouldn’t actually (probably) need to jump in on the latest thing. Getting a Helix (as an example) today in 2025 is not like getting a Helix in 2015.
Of course you’d probably want to chose the latest if it’s there.
All I’m saying is that some brands of modeling units doesn’t get old in the same way digital products got old in the 2000 to 2015 period.
I’d buy a used Helix LT if that format was what I wanted. Because I know it sounds as good and better than I’ll ever be able to fully utilize it for.
In the same way, the HX Stomp will always be relevant as a guitar pedal, just like any guitar pedal out there regardless of age. Modeling units are approaching the same level of sustainability as guitar pedals has always been.

L6 has an incredible decade long history of consistently over-delivering with the Helix platform. Sure not everyone who started with Helix stayed with that platform, but even if dev stopped today I am confident you aren’t going to find many folks that feel like L6 underdelivered.
I totally get wanting everything to be there at launch, not much I can say other than we have different calculus. I’d rather transition to the new hardware ASAP where I can do everything I currently do on Helix and opt into the new stuff as updates happen.

Agree most here will update and expect to see a ton of helix for sale in the next 6 monthsWe’ve seen companies launch products light on features and heavy on promises these last couple years. Your concern isn’t unfounded.

If you turn up the Hype control, that would sort of make all 16 of them L6 originals in a sense. That’s interesting and I could be wrong but the multi channel comment has me thinking maybe no line6 originals in this first run
“I’d prefer that they were available at launch.“You would rather they didn’t release effects they have designed for the stadium already in recent Helix updates? And that they held them to their chest and released with stadium day one and abandoned the Helix?
Unfortunately we can’t attribute being well funded to following through on a product vision. The resources don’t hurt though.Plus line 6 has Yamaha funding behind it to say
Steve Ack made a custom NAM of his Fender Vibrato - including the modulation.Wait I know I’m an idiot but how is capturing modulation even possible
They ARE available at launch haha I guess I don’t understand what you don’t understand about that so I’ll refrain from commenting further on this.“I’d prefer that they were available at launch.“
