Did the firmware update. Probably unrelated but im having a lot of upload problems with captures, they fail to upload for processing.
When it fails to upload it restarts the capture process and it has to reamp the training file. It would be good if it could resume so I dont have to keep waiting while it does the same task over and over again.

Are you getting an error code?
Saw someone else getting an error 2603.3 when trying to upload.

Yeah, it’s been alright the last few hours maybe there was issues earlier.

Wasn’t getting good results from my preamp pedal anyway, moved onto something else

It sounds like the hardware might be replicating the CE-1 impedance. Have you checked your input block? The stock CE-1 will load down your pickups.
I’m not the one asking the question but this is a good point that is interesting - I tend to leave my input block set to ‘first in chain’ so I can take advantage of fuzz volume stuff as best you can in the digital world. I hadn’t considered that other models in the chain (other than fuzz) could have lower virtual input impedance. You’ve just shown me a gap in my knowledge :) Possibly not hugely relevant to me as I’ve never really discovered the love of chorus but I do play with simple chains where there’s sometimes a trem or spring verb early on….. I’ll have a play later.

I haven’t done one in a while - the release notes for the patch the other day mentions ‘server based optimisations and stability improvements’. I’ve seen many an improvement unintentionally break something else so might be worth pinging them a message just in case?

If I keep getting duds I will but it’s such a hard thing to track. Luckily I have detailed notes on all the stuff I’ve captured before. I’d have to dig out those notes and recapture some stuff to then compare to past captures and see if the new ones are better or worse

None of that is really appealing to me I’m not a beta tester haha. I’ll only goto the effort if I’m getting constant duds. But yeah this one preamp pedal I was trying to capture I tried everything under the sun to get it going but it’s always just a limp version of the real thing. I’d rather skip doing a capture pack for it than having the result mediocre.

I always try and get the most gained capture done first so I dont waste time doing a bunch of captures only to find out that at the top end things are a bit of a dud. This isnt the craziest gained thing in the world anyway its based on a rockverb mk1 preamp circuit.

I tried both boost modes around 3/4 same with gain.

I tried capturing it as a preamp, amp, distortion pedal... tried a few level tricks capturing in the green zone and hotter, all similar results where the body just isn't there compared to the real one.

How does NAM fare with it?

happy st george’s day m9

Better but still a decent chunk from the original that I have to make some compromises with gain. I'll try find the limits of what NAM can do and use that as the gain ceiling and retest Proxy with those settings.

Bit of a subject change, but are you still looking to do an expanded JVM410 Proxy pack? The three clones you put out already have become mainstays with my rhythm patches.
