Still would be curious even if not successful (perhaps not to the same level of detail but still)
well, if you want to join on me on my journey. Here is my starting point. obviously presets are a personal thing. This is no means complete. I have many copies that I'm working on but the fundamental tone is there. I also used an ebmm axis which is completely different than most other guitars.
other notes to consider:
- the reverbs are just there for now (I don't necessarily like them)
- the pitch block is just for fun
- I put delay on EVERYTHING but sometimes put the mix to an inaudible level.
- the main blocks are the WAH, the IR and the EQ. The OD is to add gain since the plexi doesn't get it all the way there. IMO. It can but it loosens things up too much for me.
- I've been trying different wah types, screwing with compression, and eq.
- I have the preset input trim at -2.9db (each preset can have it's own input trim for those that don't know that)
- In the fractal world I use the proximity cab effect a lot. I like beef in my presets and cut it when recording to fit the need, so if you think it's chunky, it is)
- I put the compressor between the amp and cab because it does something interesting
Having said all that here is the IR and the preset.
IMPORTANT - longtime is the IR file so you need to rename it to .wav
sidenote - I also use (the FAS version) as my Flesh for Fantasy distortion sound
