Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

I would bet Yamaha will be around in 10 years

That's actually something making me worry a bit. My current small setup is working incredibly well, but it pretty much relies on 3 companies to still support their products or at least for their editing software to somehow keep working (as a Mac user, you're always living on the edge anyway). Boss Tone Studio for the GT1k? Likely to never see an update again. Hotone Ampero Control? Already needs some fooling around to get the editor to work. Tonex editor? Well, it's IK...
With a Stadium I'd likely be safe for at least a decade to come, let alone you don't really need an editor.
So that's defenitely a tempting aspect.

Proxy got scrapped after someone here who shall not be named did something unsavory to the sheep.

All the NAMM videos said Proxy was coming in 1.3, which is coming this month. Unless something has changed, in which case I'm sure we would know by now.
Unless they mean you can’t capture amps only a player in 1.3
Like they have a sample bank of clones
Man I would love it if Guitar Jon has a few in there his HK Triamp gain channel smokes

Not saying I don't, but I have to ask why? If he has a source, surely he also has a non-disclosure?

That's the rub.

Anyway, I wouldn't focus on it until DI says something. Line 6 is pretty good about managing expectations for what will (and won't) be coming down the pike, short-term and long-term.

Proxy is coming real soon regardless of what firmware number is attached to it. They've already shown off the UI and steps in @JerEvil's video from NAMM:
