I got my stadium (non XL) yesterday too.
Ive been of the opinion for a while that the QC was the best overall form factor and what I took out most times. I think the Stadium (non XL..What are we calling it? stadium Standard?) is the actual sweet spot after handling it. It looks a lot larger in most photos I’ve seen, and while it is bigger than QC for all intents and purposes it’s the same ‘size’ to take around, it could easily fit in a regular backpack, carry on, etc. the extra footswitches, 2 pages of them too, and what you can do with them absolutely blow QC out of the water.
This is my first Line 6 product and am still getting used to the effects after being very accustomed to Fractal (and other brands) for the past 10 years, as well as a rather large collection of really good “real” pedals.
I used the software to load up a few backing tracks in showcase (which works amazing) and other than that have done absolutely everything on the device and without a manual…what a revelation!! Easy, fast, responsive, well laid out and nothing hidden or obscure. It’s certainly the closest experience I’ve had to the directness of adjusting pedals and amps and so close it’s pretty much a wash, which was probably the thing that always drew me back to pedals/amps more than the sounds. There’s pretty much nothing on the device that isn’t ‘push one button then adjust’ - amp, mixers, pedals, etc.
I was worried I’d miss the scribble strips but the overlay page is very well done and I can’t see any reason I’d miss them.
I’m not one to praise unless it’s deserved, this device is very well thought out!
Amps sound great, I generally only use 4-5 on any device I’ve owned anyway. Effects, I need to get used to dialling in a lot more
