Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

So you don't understand it, either.
Because there's nothing to agree with. It's an additional feature. Why would anyone even think about disagreeing? Use it or don't. But stop telling people it's nonsense or whatever.
I understand it perfectly well, and I don't agree it's a good feature to change every preset based on one change.

That’s not how it works. It only would work on blocks that are getting their settings from an assigned block preset. If you don’t want anything linked you don’t have to, or you could have two presets that have linked blocks that would ONLY effect those presets where those blocks are looking at a preset. If it’s not something useful you just wouldn’t use it, it’s not a global setting that affects all presets.

There is *nothing* to agree or disagree with.
A) Can you tweak a block so it's reflected in multiple patches? No. So that's a fact, nothing to agree or disagree with.
B) Do I wish that was possible? Yes. Again, that's a fact, nothing to agree or disagree with.
C) Do I want *all* blocks to be global blocks *all* the time? No, I want it to be optional (and it should be absolutely obvious, too).

If (C) wasn't the case, you'd have something to disagree with. But as it's not, you simply don't.

As said, you apparently either don't understand what this is about or how it's implemented in the two units featuring global block.

Disagreeing on this would be like:
Person A: "I wish there was this and that amp in the Helix!"
Person B: "I disagree!"

You can see how meaningless that'd be, right?
It's an option that some people would use and others wouldn't. As easy as that.

Thing is, it will not change every preset, only the ones you have set to be able to be changed this way.

It would not even change every preset, just the blocks you've assigned to be global.
You could still change everything else per preset. Heck, you could call up the same block type again and it'd work as usual. At least that's what such a feature *must* work like, otherwise it'd be completely meaningless. And it's also how it actually works in both the GT-1000 and Axe FX.

the whole point is that it's a CHOICE to use them or not.

Absolutely.
Same as with whatever metal-oriented amps. I don't need them, so I just don't use them.
But would I ever "disagree" with anyone wishing for more? No, because they wouldn't get in my way at all (at worst, they'd take away development man hours that I'd personally invest elsewhere - but maybe not even that, and it'd still not be something I'd blame, let alone "disagree" with).
