Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Good Lord, if i was line6 i never would have sent out any units to youtubers, i would have had the team build a set of Videos on features maybe some tones and left it that.

Etc etc etc

I am on the road rn but I have that setting as shown and it should be toggling but it isn't.
Oh man. that's a bummer. Weird.

I JUST got mine plugged in about an hour ago so haven't done anything custom with it yet. If I run across anything else as I explore I will let you know. But maybe others here that are well ahead of me canhelp?

Someone help me - I just got my unit. It's gorgeous.

However, after connecting to the internet, here's what I'm seeing -

There is no QR code (the section is blank) and the provided code is invalid. Is this a return unit or something? One of the cheat sheets had a large scratch on it.
Yes this!!! Also when I enter my email and password instead of using the nonexistent QR the button at the bottom of your email and password to send it is greyed out. Super annoying.

Speaking of light , if you look between encoders 5 and 6
The is a sensor for light
DI confirmed this and said it not currently active
Any thoughts to it’s purpose ?

I’m hoping that, if I’m playing well, it’ll catch the reflection from my smile and turn my guitar up in the mix. If I’m not smiling, it’ll turn me down. If they don’t allow me to alter the response curve of this feature I shall make a protest YouTube video for clicks

I bet that’s exactly what it does in 1.4

Stadium versus Axe FX III. 2203MV - High gain input. Same IR. Dialled in to taste.

There are some very, very miniscule differences but no-way I can really tell them apart let alone which might be which.

What I can say is that riffage would have sounded right at home with Tony Iommi on Black Sabbath Vol 4. !!!!

Great stuff !

I think I am looking at this specific bit the wrong way. It's not honestly an issue and I can work around it. This is what it shows in Command Center for "Toggle" assignments

There is no "Toggle" destination setting. Like if I wanted Stomp A11 to toggle between Snapshot 1 and 3.

this is how it was done in OG helix, I hope it helps

select snapshot 1 (from the drop down menu) and assign A11 to toggle snapshot 3, select snapshot 3 and assign A11 to select snapshot 1.

Quoting myself here….. still cannot get it to connect to my account. No QR and as you can see the login button is greyed out. Seems to be a bug. Bummer.

I’ll be honest…. modelers or any guitar gear using WiFi has never been a net positive for me. Most of the time it’s a pain the ass like right now.

Not sure if you saw my reply to @banned, but I was able to resolve this by hitting the back button and rejoining my network. Then when it advanced to the QR code step, one had populated. Felt like maybe a bad handshake.

Packed up and going back.

I'm pretty quick in assessing amp models and I know what I like.

I hate to say it - but the Helix models sound and feel better to me. I will say that the Fenders are definitely improved as well as the Bogner XTC (I only tried the Blue Channel), but for almost everything else, I preferred the Helix (Note: I do modify 'Sag' often on Helix)

For the rest of you - enjoy! It's a total pro piece of gear and I'm sure that you'll get lots of mileage out it.

Next stop: Fractal's improved offering whatever it is.
