Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Took a quick look at the manual to see if 1.1.0 included the alternate tuner mode I was wishing for, but nope😆 I'll still have to buy an expression pedal to instantly mute the signal.

On the other hand, HAPPY HELIX STADIUM LAUNCH EVERYBODY, AND CONGRATS LINE6!🥳🥳🥳🥳

The wait is finally over! MF order just showed up.

I assume the SIC changes if you pick a different (AKA non-matching) HX cab to pair with the amp block?
Yes.
Not sure? This thing is seriously slick looking. Great work @Digital Igloo :satan
Thanks, but ID was pretty much all Dale.
What's the trick on the editor? I really just want to add an IR and get to playing. I downloaded and installed the driver and editor and did a restart. I manually added the IP of the Stadium but no dice. @Digital Igloo
Are Stadium XL and the Helix Stadium app on the same Wi-Fi network?
I also need to figure out how to set delay to time amounts vs subdivisions.
Press the Time knob or tap the parameter and tap the Tempo Sync toggle.

The second part of that question - whether the SIC is bypassed with the cab is an important detail. I think it will be fairly obvious to determine once we have units in hand though.

I’m with the crowd that would prefer a user facing parameter that defaults to whatever is initially appropriate for the selected cab.

Where it’s at now, switching with the cab is still A LOT better than HX.
Just confirmed with Brandon. If a linked Cab block is bypassed, it still informs its Amp block's SIC.

Yes.

They are. Not sure what was blocking it on the first system's install? Disabled the firewall, added the Helix manually via it's IP to no avail. The system I am using now detected it right off the bat.

If the SIC is set by a cab, and then the cab is bypassed, does the SIC change back to the default or stay the same until / unless updated by the cab block or another cab block?

Or put another way: can you use a bypassed cab block to set the amp's SIC before going out to a power amp?

If you're going out to a power amp, you don't want any SIC at all in the amp simulation, right? In that situation, the power amp is connected to a cabinet and is feeling, and reacting to, the impedance from that cabinet. In other words, as I understand it, no simulation of the impedance in the amp simulator is required or desired when using a real power amp and cabinet.

Correct if we are talking about tube power amps. You end up applying your modeled SIC onto the one that naturally occurs between The tube power amp and cabinet.

i guess the jury is out on when/whether we’d see SIC as an adjustable parameter OR Agoura preamp models added to the platform for use with your own tube power amp.
