Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Okay, I’m not alone. After an evening of playing and dialing in high gain sounds, I returned to my AC30 preset that I’d dialed in for clean, and it was overdriven with nasty, harsh clipping. There is something amiss with this firmware.

I’m noticing this too. My JCM patch just went thin and crunchy. I loaded another one, went back to the original and it fixed it.

It’s happened a couple of times.

The Agoura models are incredibly responsive, moreso than anything digital I have played up to this point (pretty much everything).

Me too. I thought at first it was just my mind fooling me that “man these models not only sound better but react way closer to my real amps.” However now that I’ve gone through dialing in my sounds around models in the Stadium that are most like the real amps I own and going between the two… not sure what they did in Augora but this imho is the next level in component style modeling. Better than any modeler or capture device I’ve owned so far which is pretty much all the big players.

I really hope we see a build that fixes a ton of bugs, in December. I'm not planning on using the Stadium for any live work until at least February. But some of these bugs people are reporting are a little disconcerting. I'm sure Line6 are all over it all ready.

I kept flip-flopping between using this or the AFX3 for this weekends gigs, but given these bugs, think I'll be sticking with the AFX3.

Now it's time to stop playing with the Shiny New Thing and start actually practising....

This is one I haven't encountered yet, but what little new preset development I've been doing has been in small bites. Wonder if it's a memory leak sorta issue.

I hit strings, I notice shit
That's what I do. I hit strings, and I notice shit.

Yeah which is why I'm not too keen to be an early adopter for any new modeler out there. Bugs are a part of life for every software product and as long as they fix it (I know Line6 will!) it's fine. But the worse thing would be if some hw issue is discovered as that could become very problematic.

I had that happen when I imported the ToneJunkie preset. I had to reselect the associated IR, even though it showed in the proper IR in the window. Not sure why? Other than that, no bugs on my end.

When I get back home, I’ll try to post some clips.

Similarly, I had another patch that was noisy even with the gate on. I tried deleting every block and still got noise. I reimported the patch and it was fine.

You are a very stupid person. I don't know if anyone has ever told you this in a sincere way before, but it is true.

Talk to yourself. You should rather try to understand what you're posting. That'd be time well spent.

I will simply prove you're wrong.
Educate yourself.

And yes, you said it'd take 23 min to pitch a low bass E string. Word by word.

You're supremely literal, supremely unintelligent, arrogant, ignorant, and a custard gannet.
